We are supposed to call them "people of color." Why not "colored people?"

You think that if someone is a racist you do not need to respond to their factual assertions. Try to figure out why so many people are racists. It is not ignorance.

So that’s a no on saying those things to coworkers you’re not friends with or using the word negro at black guys you don’t know. Yup…that’s what I thought. Thanks for proving my point.

If you think calling someone a M.F. is equivalent to calling that person a Negro or an Oriental, you are beyond the range of rational discussion.

Could you possibly not understand that what you here describe, is evidence of the very thing that I had contended: that whites are, and have been, thought of & treated differently, in general, than non-white, "people of color?"

The truths expressed by Charles Murray, Jared Taylor, and Professor's Richard Herrnstein, Arthur Jensen, and J. Philippe Rushton will never be out of date, because they will never be disproved.

As more is learned about genetics, and as most Negroes, both in the United States and throughout the world, continue to disappoint optimistic assumptions about their potential, It will become increasingly obvious that what Charles Murray, Jared Taylor, and Professor's Richard Herrnstein, Arthur Jensen, and J. Philippe Rushton have written is true.

My white privilege includes the facts that people who do not know me assume that I am reasonably intelligent and safe to be around. They base this assumption on previous whites that they have known.

    Hi, Conservative Democrat.

This seems to be an important issue for you.

Words change in their use and connotations with surprising speed these days. Where I could be using a word to which some people might take exception, I've found it worthwhile to visit sites peopled by the potential offendees and see what word(s) they themselves use. It's muy important to ensure that the site's current!

    Regards, stay safe 'n well.

Oh my God if someone followed that last bit of advice.... They might think the magic n word is okay for general usage.

Right now affirmative action programs discriminate against whites and Orientals. If a black criminal is killed anywhere in the United States at the scene of his most recent crime, that becomes a national scandal. Frequently it provokes a black ghetto riot that we are expected to forgive. .

When a black criminal kills a white person, that is often not mentioned in the local media. If it is, the race of the criminal is not mentioned.

Negroes will be treated as equals to whites and Orientals when most Negroes begin to perform and behave as well as most whites and Orientals. So far this has not happened any time in history, anywhere on earth.

The government cannot pass laws that force people to believe what they know is not true.

I do not share your racial bias, nor your need to insult your targets by the usage of offensive terminology.

You shouldn’t change. I just ask you to let us know how it goes when you call a group of black men “negroes”. :D

What makes you think that-- because it's a white one?

Can I get a "booyah!" from anybody?

You seem to imply things would go south, possibly violent and seem fine with it, maybe even looking forward to it. Now would you be fine with the same result if someone walked up to me and said he’s here, he’s queer and after my children? No, you’d expect me to be something you don’t expect from blacks and that is tolerant or I’m some kind of phobe or ist. Why are you assuming blacks would be intolerant of words?

Oh boy. More snowflake "don't hurt anybody feelings" non-sense.

See the problem in this case is history.

The black community keeps changing what they want to be called because as soon as whitey says it, they suddenly find it offensive.

The NAACP, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People disagrees with you.

It's a game of creating a victim. Nothing else.

It wouldn't bother me, I'd probably raise an eyebrow simply because I haven't heard the term colored people used in years. Context would play a role obviously though. I'm also a terrible litmus test for stuff like this though because I have way better things to do than walk around getting offended by words people use like so many others in society nowadays.

I have way more of a problem with folks who call me "African"-American than "colored". At least "colored" is accurate seeing how yeah my skin is colored. Quit referring to me as some sort of sub-category of American as if I don't fully count. I was born here, my parents were born here, my grandparents were born here, my family and I are AMERICANS, period. I have as much in common with Africa as I do with natives in Siberia, quit calling me that and quit hyphenating my American status. Every other country in the world that I've lived or visited simply calls me an American, only in my own country does society feel like I need a hyphen before my ethnicity. Last time I checked Louisiana was part of America...that's where I'm "from".

Elon Musk and Charlize Theron are African-Americans. Call them that.

As someone who has spent months on suspension for being impolite I thought I 'd warn you the mods don't like the manner in which you are addressing other posters.

Citing old white people, two of whom were known racists, who are dead is not doing you any favors because their work has aged and doesn’t reflect the world of right now.
