Too many White Americans are obsessed with self-hatred and self-loathing. They get a perverse and sick euphoria out of pursecuting themselves.

 

If you want to call it white guilt so be it. I feel very sad that black people are seen as inferior. I taught black kids and learned about the prejudices they face every day. Yes I agree that there are many white Americans who are filled With self-hatred and those are the people who need to scapegoat others so they feel better about themselves. They’re called white supremists and neo nazis. ..and they’re numbers are growing. We obviously just have different values.

 

Are you claiming Neo-Nazis and white supremacists are the only ones that are afllicted with white guilt....not that I believe they are...yet to claim only such groups are consumed with white guilt is being deceptive at best.

What does white guilt have to do with black folks being seen as inferior by some? You switched topics on me..........Anyhow if you wish to talk about who is prejudiced against............that would be a very long list of folks....aka ugly people, fat people, gay people, short people poor people, retarded folks, even highly intelligent people etc.etc.etc. in fact just about everyone if not everyone experiences some form of prejudice in their lives.

Example....you apply for a job and you are the most qualified for that position without question....yet someone else gets the job.....why? Well it could be for a lot of reasons...but the most common one is...that whoever did the hiring liked the person he gave the job to more than you for whatever reason....bottom line people have likes and dislikes....just reality.

I agree we all have prejudices. The problem is when we act on them in ways that are hurtful and destructive. Like people here are saying that fat people have poor character. Some prejudices are even necessary. Prejudice means pre-judging but when you act on it in a distractive way then it becomes bigotry. When you hate a group of people like the neo-Nazis do, it becomes bigotry.

 

You are missing the point. The parallels are scapegoating a group of people. Hitler scapegoated Jews and Trump is scapegoating immigrants. Same dance with different steps
