What, exactly, is socialism? Again this discussion seems necessary.

"They". "They"? Who are you talking about and WHAT are you talking about?

I was referring to those who are not satisfied with the fact that any group of workers can establish their own worker-owned business. I'm talking about those who favor theft of other's property.

Ok but keep in mind that "theft" is a loaded word and it is identified by violation of a law. If a law prohibiting theft of intellectual property, for example, is changed to allow appropriation of the work of others under certain conditions, what was previously "theft" is no longer "theft".

Yes it is, and your lack of reasonable rebuttal is evidence.

Theft is taking a physical resource owned by another person, nothing else.

Also, so-called intellectual property can't be stolen.

Then your ideas on it are outside of all law and fact unless your "ownership" is within the law and nothing more.

"In common usage, theft is the taking of another person's property or services without that person's permission or consent with the intent to deprive the rightful owner of it."

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theft

The problem is that people are indoctrinated into believing that the exclusive use of the word theft is a legal one. That is clearly not accurate, as laws are manipulated and are often immoral.

You're right Kode , the US has strayed far away from free market capitalism . All of those laws, regulations, enforcement agencies, are socialistic attempts at improving the human condition, but all to often only result in the concentration of economic activity into corporate interests, and the human condition deteriorates.

OH. OK. Then it's theft when a company make a profit off the labor of its workers but gives them no say in the disposition of those profits. You make a good point.

The more the economy approaches "free market capitalism", the worse life gets for the majority who are the working class. But when regulations and "socialist reforms" are established the economy and the conditions of life for the working class improve as they did after 1945. Up until 1932 it was hell on earth for all but the very rich.

LOL, our 'poor' have cell phones, color tv, cars, etc. It is all relative. Under socialism the poor suffer the most since it ruins a dynamic economy and they have a much lower chance of climbing out of destitute.

It's made of paper, mostly green, has government stamps on it, and it can be exchanged for goods and services.

Ah, so you're speaking of federal reserve notes. Got it. And who exactly is stealing these things from whom? You mentioned a company. Can you be more specific?

I see. So made accusations of theft but can't provide any specific details of what is being stolen from whom by whom.

So we should listen to you why exactly????

Oh, I can detail it all out, ... AGAIN. But I think we've been over this sufficiently in those other threads.

So you're saying you can't say who stole what from whom. Got it.

    False accusation! Drink!

No, the problem is that you're never satisfied. I answer at length with plenty of detail and you keep digging, twisting, looking for an opening like a boxer watching his opponent as he jabs at him. I know that you know exactly what I'm saying is stolen under the law.

Just a reminder. You can vote your way into socialism but you have to shoot your way out.
