When is the market not the best choice? It's always the best choice, no? Well, unless you're a lib-commie.

You mean 7,000 contracts? How many contracts do you feel are appropriate? 6,000? 9,000?

For money 99% of capitalists think one contract is correct number. You are making yourself look like knee jerk free market and can't think for yourself.

7000 banks and 7000 different currencies led to a lot of confusion, fraud, and inefficiency. Today we have one currency in use all over the country.

Back then there was also only one currency: gold. There were 7,000 banks that issues 7,000 contracts. Contracts are a free market thing right?

no, there were 7000 paper currencies backed to one degree or another by gold and silver which is why 99% of free market folks support the modern system.

Bank notes. Fiduciary media. Not currencies.

How many different debit cards exist today? Do you see more than one debit card as a problem?

As did banknotes. One dollar bank note gets you one dollar in money. Just like one dollar in debit card gets you one dollar in money.

I understand you are anti free market. I deal with many socialists here on political forum. Personally, I prefer the free market, including a free market in the money and banking sector.

I understand why you have chosen socialism. I think it's misguided, but I can see why you don't trust private contracts. I'm a free market guy. I trust that contract law will settle disputes over property rights.
