What, exactly, is socialism? Again this discussion seems necessary.

I understand that you need to think this in order to justify your socialism.

there are virtually no free market people who want a free market in money. 1+1=2
its not even an issue anymore so why waste your time???????????, especially when you cant even say what you imagine a free market in money would look like if not 7000 different currencies.

    There aren't?
A free market in money would have one, maybe two, forms of money: gold and/or silver.

thats what we had in 19th century, plus 7000 paper currencies linked to one degree or another to the gold and a silver. It was a disaster.

What would be the problem with 7,000 debit cards issued by 7,000 different banks?

We would never have 7,000 currencies. Times have changed. We have the internet now. It's all checks and debit cards now. No banknotes.

Checks and debit cards would be used to transfer money (gold and/or silver) from one account holder to another. Remember, in a free market, gold and/or silver would be money.

Also, nobody would stop you from issuing "Jim-bucks", but who in the world would consider them money?

You mean back before they had debit cards, PayPal, and Venmo?

Yeah, banks wouldn't print up their own banknotes. Too damn expensive. They'd just have their depositors use debit or checks.

No, I don't mean that. I mean actual gold and silver. Gold and silver would be money.

actually people don't like to carry gold around so a bank issues a currency to represent the gold, in theory

Yes, in a free market for money, each bank would issue its own debit cards and checks, just like now. Why do you see this as a problem? They obviously wouldn't issue their own banknotes to be used as currency. That would be too costly, when debit cards, PayPal, Vemno, and checks are so much cheaper.

Banks would never issue banknotes as currency in our modern age. The would give their depositors checks and debit cards.

This contends that the state, with it's laws & enforcement of, along with whatever else is written down somewhere, possesses all the power. Further it would seem, that power is static, it can never shift, it can never deceive, can never hide it's true identity or intent. There's never anything going on in the back, in order to control office, one must hold office. Not only is this untrue, it isn't desirable. Far better to use front men, should anything unforeseen go awry.

So, corporations are the height of power, or, you mentioned multinational financial institutions, it's them? Yes, but not the front side, the back. This next part is either a conspiracy or a troubling reality. I can cite the Federal Reserve and other mainstream sources, but, do you want to know? There are branches within these lofty institutions referred to as "shadow banking", what may have been dubbed private banking a number of years back. We've all heard the adage, black accounts in Swiss banks... This is banking that's beyond any jurisdictional oversight.

In a free market for money, people would always be free to use actual money (i.e. silver and gold) rather than using debit cards or checks, or Venmo, or PayPal. Actual money would always be an option.

So let them use real money instead of debit cards or checks. It's a free country. Or at least is should be.

We would never go backwards to 7,000 banknotes issued by 7,000 banks. Not with the internet and debit cards. You're living in the past. Next you're going to tell me that in a free market for transportation people would use horse and buggies.
