What is all this Impeachment about...

Not understanding this will spell the demise of the Republican Party for at least a generation.

It's a kangaroo court...just for show, the Democrats had there mind made up to impeach Trump before he was already sworn in.

You are confused. What we have learned in the last month is not meant to convince you. Or to convince any Trump loyalist who goes by the Trump mantra not to believe their "lying eyes".

That's not the purpose. It's to show rational Americans who can think on their own and still value logic and reason the mountains of evidence that exist that their President is a criminal.

Saving him requires much much more than that. It would require actually addressing the evidence.

The problem you Trump loyalists have is that not a single Republican in Congress, not one Trump loyalist, no Trump appointees or career politicians, not the Trump Channel, not Rush, not Hannity, not David Duke, not Alex Jones... none of his defenders, have addressed the actual evidence.

So if this is a "Kangaroo Court".. your guy could be removed by it just the same.

It is wise to heed this warning. We don't want to see Trump loyalists come whining with the evidence that would have exonerated Trump when it's too late. Now it's the time to show it. Don't get blindsided.

The Hill reports, "New polling showing public opposition to impeachment has some Republicans along with officials in the White House voicing skepticism that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) will go through with a vote on articles of impeachment.

"While Pelosi has not guaranteed there will be a vote, it’s hard to imagine she would risk a backlash from the Democratic base by cutting the process short after two weeks of public hearings."

Many disagree with that statement. Pelosi is a savvy politician. She knows the purpose of impeachment is to remove the President. She also knows that a failed impeachment attempt could very easily result in having the opposite effect.

Many Democrats saw the hearings as providing damning testimony against Trump. “The hearings were nearly flawless and extremely damning for the president,” said an aide to the Democratic House leadership.

So what if public opinion is against the Democrats. So what if the votes aren't there and impeachment fails. The clueless aide talks like impeachment will remove Trump, or is itself the end result. Neither is true.

There are serious doubts the savvy Pelosi and Democratic leadership will continue with the Articles of Impeachment if public opinion isn't there and neither are the votes in the Senate.

Instead, Pelosi may decide to keep making Trump look bad and let the American voter remove him in November.

What you are claiming the democrats are doing is completely illegal and an abuse of power. You may be right, but that makes the democrats just as bad as you claim Trump is.

 

Exactly, the Democrats are abusing there power to eliminate a political foe in an election year.

 

As I said: it's a long process. Don't try to learn everything in a day. You might find that frustrating.

About your question. It is illegal for a foreign government to interfere in our elections. But don't dwell too much on that. Take the learning process slowly. But don't expect that those of us who have been following events for a long time will necessarily waste our time explaining the basics to you every time there is something you don't understand.

My advise to you is to read on your own. How should I explain this so you don't take it the wrong way? You see... most on this forum expect you to have a basic understanding of events. I don't want to say anything that you might interpret as demeaning, but some on this forum expect people who participate in a forum called Political Forum to have at least a basic understanding of politics. And hard study is the only way to achieve that.

I'd tell you to read the Mueller Report instead. Where you would find people even being indicted for "posting memes" (as you call it) But that might be for a more advanced lesson. The law will have to do, for now. And it will also help you polish your research skills. Google is great for that.
