You are being held hostage because you are doing what the Saudis want under pain of losing a $B110 deal and perhaps access to oil. So, I ask again ~ what price Australia, Donald?

And that would accomplish what, especially since the investigation is not yet complete?

Yes I agree the investigations are not complete, but Donald has already said that no matter the outcome, the $B110 deal proceeds.

Because there is no good logic for cancelling and why pretend otherwise?

Symbolism is very important. If he proceeds, we know he has a price, and the Saudis will know he has a price. What I want to know is ~ what price Australia, Donald?

Symbolism would be stupid in this case. Reality trumps symbolism.

It is very obvious that we are just going around in circles. Unless you have something different to offer, I am getting off this merry-go-round.

You are always worried. Always whining about what is happening in the US. Donald don't care about Australia, nobody does. The US has bases everywhere. We don't need you. If we close it down, we save billions and thousands of Aussies start looking for a job. Then Australia and their puny military have to start worrying about the Chinese.

Sorry you did not get the answers you wanted. From what I gather, your own Media are jumping all over this issue as well.

Maybe you ought to tell him that. (Pine Gap does not employ thousands of Australians. It vital to US defence systems, and that is fundamental fact.)

Nor does it employ thousands if Americans. it is a relatively small installation.
    Vital is a relative term.

Suffice it to say I have been to Alice Springs a couple of times.

So...why is Trump taking the credit for it?

    1. Not sure who was in the plane that hit the Pentagon. I know they were in AQ, who’s leader was based in Afghanistan, who got training from Iran. At least according to the bipartisan 9-11 Commison. The nation origin of terrorist isn’t really relevant. I don’t hold prejudice against people for their national origin.

    2. He isnt, he simply is saying there is a massive deal in place, the largest arms deal in history between the two nations. Also highlighting there are other complex relations with the nations. So isn’t rushing to judgment without getting all the facts before responding.

But he is....as I have said. The deal goes ahead no matter if it is established that the Saudis calcultadto murder a US resident in their Turkish Embassy. Sent you a message.
