I'm with the later on this one. I don't think the people have any control over the government at all now and wonder if we ever did . Not unlike Hitler did with the SS Troops or Brown Shirts from grade school on up. So have our schools done to our kids.IMO. We let them progress on one agenda after the other till they took control of their minds. Look at how violent even the professors are now blooding peoples heads in our streets. And even worse getting away with it, that should tell us who the nazi types really are and it ain't the conservatives. Media and entertainment including sports are the new jack boot types who lie, promote violence and defend their bad actions. And in many towns and cities police are on their side too. Our military has forgotten their oath to protect us from domestic enemies and now we train foreign troops on our soil which is totally unconstitutional. So I guess just live or today because tomorrow is screwed.
Our nation started out with humans as slaves. Stole land from the occupants that had been here. So, were we ever a good nation?
Thanks for debating with us here. And in some things I agree with both sides but try to find the truth or facts. Slaves that were already here thanks to Spain and black slave masters in Africa. Whites were also being used as slaves during this era and long before it. Wonder why nobody talks about that? Slavery has been around since the begining of time and all races at one time or another have been in slavery by all races. Africa today is still in the slave business big time. Far as the land occupied, the natives here did not think land was private, it was owned by Mother Earth. So if nobody owns it then it is there for the taking. Tribes were warring with each other long before the white man came here and developed the land. Did we do bad things like all of them did ,yes and slavery is evil and yet libs don't mind us being made to work 2 jobs aka slavery for their welfare voters and invading third world armies that come here to take over and get free stuff.
Isn't it the exact opposite? It looks, to me, more like we are failing because far too many have placed their trust in government. Our form of government was set up as it is, because our founders feared government.
I agree. We no longer have leaders who serve us but leaders who enslave us to serve themselves. Everyone of them go in middle income and come out ultra rich, how is that possible on a salary of less than $200,000?
I don't know about training foreign troops on our soil, we have always done that as far as I can remember. At least as far back as 1966 when I was drafted into the Army and ended up making it a career. I can remember Vietnamese, Australians, a couple of other nations troops receiving training in our communications equipment and techniques. As for education, there is no doubt since the federal government became involved, we have dumbed down our kids. This nation was number one in the world in math, science and the like prior to the federal government becoming involved. What are we now, 26th or 32nd and the like. Stuff I learned in high School are now being taught in the first and second years of college. What the heck? Maybe you're correct, perhaps the people never did have any control over government. We probably did have some control, at least early on. One thing is for sure, the more people become reliant on government for their care and safety, the more control government has over them.
I assume no one talks about whites being slaves because whites weren't set free after the civil war. Just because the occupants of a place don't make a man made claim to a piece of property, no way says it's all right to kick them out and stake a claim. IMO. Having said that, there has always been changes in land occupations. Man has been warring with man for space likely since the beginning. As far as you lib comment. We "stole" land that was stolen from others and those people were enslaving each other long before we arrived. Apaches and Utes that captured each other over centuries of intertribal war and Navaho captives which was a tribe they both raided got sold to Spaniards and then to Mexicans. We took the land from the Mexicans that took it from the indians and someday somebody will take it from us. You were saying?

I don't think any of us knows what is the right direction or wrong direction is. We only know what we would like to see the government do or not do. There is no right or wrong answer only personal opinions. Some people support more laws and less personal choice while others support more personal choice and less laws. We as humans just do not know what would be right for the country, we just know what we would like our country to be like and it is still just opinions.
I have to agree with this. We only know what they want us to know on either side. I just post what I think not what I know.
