save life of mother, yes, rape and incest, no.
Either the unborn baby is a human being or they arent. If they are, then it is wrong to kill them regardless of how they came to be.
    ,.
. If on the other hand, it could be PROVEN that the unborn is not a human being individual person with personhood, then go and have an abortion for whatever reason and I couldnt care less, it would be no different than having liposuction.

but anyone who wants to compare the unborn baby with a tumor, or any other body part, are just lying to themselves, they know deep inside the differences are far to great to make them the same.

Pragmatic common sense. Abortion clearly isn't a good thing. It can be quite an invasive procedure with possible side-effects both physically and psychologically and all such medical procedures need careful consideration. While I think it can be the least-worst opinion in a wide range of individual circumstances, there needs to be better understanding of all it involves and better consideration of all the alternative options. It would be a difficult balance to strike in the best of environments, with the background this whole debate has created, it's all but impossible.

The debate on abortion has been almost exclusively focused on all or nothing arguments - the "pro-life" and "pro-choice" positions. Religion (and anti-religious) remains far too ingrained within the issue, as is partisan politics. Ironically, the taboo pushed by the "pro-life" proponents often encourages over-protection of abortion as an option, making it difficult for alternatives to be considered while the free-for-all pushed by "pro-choice" proponents can lead to excessive restrictions.

It's up to State law. Some States allow them to be used in stem cell research, others mandate that they be treated like medical waste and incinerated. A specialized waste company would dispose of it that way.

unless one is a Atheist, I think most believe the life force never takes hold and just moves on to a new vessel

the pope believe all babies that die go to heaven, does that not apply to fetus's too? if they actually believe they are babies? a free ticket to heaven, wouldn't that to a christian be like winning the lottery

yea, but if the abortion is killing a living child, then those committing the abortions, are they now not going to heaven? an adult soul is just as important to God as a babie's soul.
but more important, the ends doesnt justify the means, you could use the same arguement to kill people the moment they accept \Jesus, kill them now so they go to heaven, and dont wait til later, cuz they could change their mind about Jesus.

    How do you know that?

Yes, the ends do justify the means. If that weren't true, then Jesus wouldnt have been crucified.

I'd bet some Christians have done that as well. The thing is, those ends are illogical and retarded.

The burden of proof is on those who claim abortion is murder.

Nothing, if you desire to live in Hell. Which is apparently the route most of mankind wants to go in.

Did you know that a woman can still legally get an abortion without being charged for homicide? Game over you lose.

Just because the law is contradicting itself does not mean anything in this debate.

I personally believe that all fetal homicide laws need to be thrown out just so we can have some legal consistency.

They are called FETAL homicide laws. If a fetus were a person, the homicide laws already in effect would apply.

Contradicting doesn't matter when it doesn't support the cause. I get it.

You see the slippery slope Gays want to start up? You just said you want to see MORE laws done away with in favor of Gays.

Why is this topic still going. The murderous mother and the unbaptized spawn both go to hell.

homicide is the death of a human being, whether it is a senior citizen, handicapped, fetus, healthy middle aged, dont matter, those are subsets of humans, but all human beings nontheless.

    hom·i·cide   /ˈhɒməˌsaɪd, ˈhoʊmə-/ Show Spelled[hom-uh-sahyd, hoh-muh-] Show IPA
    noun
    1. the killing of one human being by another.
    2. a person who kills another; murderer.

It just goes to show how all the organizations, except the church, want to recognize abortion as being ok, but even when it goes against the basic issue they deal with, they get contradictory, evasive, and distort the truth to try and have it both ways.

This includes the legal, medical and scientific fields, their info shows abortion to be the taking of a human life, but their official stances bypass that somehow, the legal field being the most obvious.

In the days of the founding fathers, they didnt have privy to the medical advances we have today, and hence they didnt even realize the baby was alive from moment one, so they thought the "quickening" was when the baby came alive, fast forward to today, anyone who doesnt have an agenda that they put higher priority on than the truth about abortion, recognize that abortion is the taking of an innocent human life.

Which only shows that if a fetus were a person, the regular homicide laws would apply and FETAL homicide laws would not be needed.

Alive and human are not the only qualifications needed for personhood. If that were the case, the sperm and egg and all human cells would be persons.

Nothing "comes alive" at conception which is only the fusing of the sperm and egg, both already alive and innocent.

dont know who you were responding to, but you are wrong on all counts. As I Pointed out before, your agendas dont allow you to look honestly at the science and other facts regarding humans, birth, abortion etc. Just espousing tired old arguements that have been disproven beyond a doubt just makes you look silly,

and to actually go through the logical process of how science proves, PROVES, at conception a new human being comes into existence will be ignored by you , and instead your responses will be things like "its her body, its her choice', EVEN THOUGH its been proven again and again, its "not just a part of her body".

I used to be pro abortion, but as I studied the issue, learned more facts, and as science and medicine advanced in their knowledge of what the fetus is, and what is going on in the entire process, I simply had to change my mind, all the evidence was against me.

the continued support of abortion by liberals in the face of new scientific and medical evidence is based on selfish desires.

The abortion question is not a question of science. What makes human person valuable as a person is a value judgement, philosophy, that cannot be answered by science. Whether new alive human being comes into existence at conception is completely irrelevant if I dont believe that merely being biologically alive and having human DNA is enough for personhood.

The fact that world renowned scientists have agreed with my "tired old arguements (sic)" makes YOU look silly:

"Neither a sperm and egg separately, nor a fertilized egg, is more than a potential baby or a potential adult."--Carl Sagan
    http://www.2think.org/sagan_abortion.shtml

"I know that you all think about it perpetually that you come from one single cell of a fertilized egg. I don’t want to get involved in religion but that is not a human being."--Lewis Wolpert, world renowned embryologist

"The point at which life or personhood begins is not something biology can settle, says David Magnus, co-director of the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics, California...
Magnus quotes the example of identical twins who are one entity at the point of fertilisation; not until a few days later do they become separate. They clearly develop into two individuals who have different personalities and patterns of behaviour, even though they share the same DNA. Magnus's assertion raises the question of whether a "soul" assigned at fertilisation would later have to be split."
    http://www.newscientist.com/article/...y-collide.html

    See above.

There is no such "scientific and medical evidence" proving life begins at conception. Actually, science proves otherwise with the ability to clone. Self determination and the ability to control the size and timing of one's family are not selfish desires.
