I was from Richmond Indiana.....I just know they became very left wing, and not co Christ Centered.

This is what is amazing to me......I don't believe in Unicorns, but never in my life have I wasted one second of time trolling Unicorn sites to disparage them or espouse my unbelief. Something about faith, Christianity in particular, draws unbelievers like moth to a flame! Must be something to it!

Well, the poll allows those of no faith to participate, in case you didn't notice....

You’re speaking of Earlham. My daughter attended Earlham for one year before transferring to Haverford. And, yes, most Friends Meetings are left wing.

So why did you not click?

On purpose I asked: "I am or once was"

    OR ONCE WAS!

Something on that note I found interesting....while working for a customer , doing my trade, I met a Quaker family and got into good discussion. He was most definitely a Christ centered Christian but his group was in California. I told him about my frame of reference and he said that indeed the Richmond Quakers were a leftist bunch. I hear these stories all the time about the different denominations. In my Bible Study we have former Catholics, Methodists, Baptists and Lutherans. They all have similar stories but Christ is the glue that holds us together!

I noticed. What I don't get is why you don't state your case and move on. Instead you denigrate faith by calling it superstitious. Instead you say this.....
So perhaps you could gravitate to the positive and say what you do believe in. That would be like everyone else here in the thread. I won't attack you.

Why? Was it the involvement of ritual?

Yes I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing. It was no big deal and I eventually realized that non Catholics were staying seated and not following the ritual. And it was interesting as I have never been to a Catholic service. Keep in mind that at my services we get some direction..."let us stand to sing.." "you may be seated..." "let's bow in prayer"

I am Catholic and I only sit or stand.
I am too old to be able to kneel easily.
    People understand.

I do not know how many members this forum has, but there must be many.
I cannot really believe that I should be the only Catholic here.

This I see as the popular game of "Catholic bashing".
I think what I read here can be seen as an insult to any Catholic now alive on earth.

I wonder whether such a statement is OK?

    May I ask again:

Am I really the only Catholic in this forum?

Oh yeah, there's a lot of upsy-downsy and echo recitations etc. You don't have to join in, though - no one really cares. No no one is going to regard your newby status as fresh blood for Jesus. They don't recruit or convert. That's why I like it - because you can enjoy an entirely private experience, knowing no one is interested in why you're there. You can leave freely, without anyone trying to 'connect' with you.
