People from the Midwest. Slow, indecisive, and no situational awareness. A close second would be Oklahomans. They do not pay any attention to what they are doing and just pull out right in front of you. Or cut across parking lots without a clue. They just drive where they want to.

For the people that say Boston/Massachusetts, you just do not know how to drive there.

Those people are buying cars at an alarming rate. Have you ever been in Bangalore traffic?

It's great if you want to get from Hollywood to Pasadena... or Long Beach, but otherwise? Meh.

Nah. They're just assertive. Once you get into the flow, it's totally predictable and you can get where you're going relatively quickly.

The United States is so large, and for the most part, the population is extremely spread out compared to the European and NE cities that have functional public transit systems. Los Angeles has attempted it, and if you've ever spent time in that city, you can see why it's near impossible to get a city metro or subway functional. Go to the other western states or the Midwest and you can drive for hours on end without encountering a major city. The cost of constructing a nation-wide rail system is just out of the question. We've proven we're not completely car dependent if the size, space and population makes sense - such as in the major NE cities.

I think the people in my city are the worst drivers. Honestly, why are people so (*)(*)(*)(*)ed stupid? If it's 60ks, you frigging drive at 60ks! Not 50!

Saw a massive road rage incident yesterday, too. Some guy was driving out of a medical surgery and didn't bother to look both ways. He came out in the road and a lady was driving up behind him. She didn't have time to stop so she had to serve into the second lane to avoid hitting him. She blasted him and he yelled at her out of his window.

She drove up to the roundabout, stopped her car and got out and screamed her head off at him. This idiot could have killed her, he should have looked for traffic before he drove out. He didn't seem to care, though. The lady eventually went back to her car and drove off.

OK, in my best Crocodile Dundee voice: "that's not road rage... this is road rage!"

Here in the U.S. there pretty much needs to be an exchange of gunfire for it to count as road rage.

Have any of you ever driven through Louisiana? There is no such thing as blinkers there, or common sense.

I thought Louisiana drivers were pretty good overall--assertive and purposeful, and even somewhat courteous when appropriate.

New Yorkers don't know what their signals are for and seem to often confuse the left lane for the slow lane.

    1. Worst driving - Louisiana in the United States. The drivers do not know how to use turn signals and do not know how to secure items in the bed of their pickup trucks (i.e. get used to seeing wheelbarrows, tools, air compressors, bicycles laying in the middle of the road due to a poor understanding of how to tie things down) .

    2. Worst design of roads (Atlanta, GA and Houston, TX in the United States). The civil engineers in these states simply do not know how to design roads for the number of people living in the city.

From a world perspective, my father has told me that Naples, Italy and anywhere in India makes Louisiana, USA look like paradise.

Here's the simple answer to your question, my friend: well it's more of a question; when's the last time Belgium, or any other economically stable European country been at war? Yes! Over half a century ago! War is a HUUUGE money sink. If we had taken a page from Europe's peace-loving countries and stayed out of international war affairs we would have been in much better economic shape, and would have a very well-funded and top-notch train system like Europe's Trans-Europe Express or the infamous high-speed roadway, the Autobahn.

Although, it doesn't help that the United States is a few thousand miles across coast-to-coast, while most European countries are very small in comparison. They are about the size of our states, which allows for very efficient international travel in Europe. If you are in Germany and you want to visit Eastern Europe, you are no more than a few hours away from a different culture and set of languages entirely. Try that here in the states!

I think this is a tie. 1/2 are Indiana and Missouri. Followed closely by folks from Alabama. Someone, please anyone teach these folks that the left lane is for passing.....

    Italy.
    Or Boston, Massachusetts.
    Falklands in the 1980's
    Iraq in 2003
    There's probably more.

Italy, drivers make up their own traffic rules (or as good as), it's crazy.

I've heard the term 'Masshole' before.
Think it's to do with their driving in Boston.
