i understand we are supposed to have a riot today at the Capitol? Where is it? I've heard of "vaporware", now we have "riotware". I'd hate to get there with my horns and face paint and be the only one there.

Am I missing something? Is this a "What if the FBI planned for a riot and nobody came moment?" Did their actors go on strike?

The FBI is as useful as an oar without a boat.

What is your argument? That everything the FBI prepares for occurs? Is it a bad thing that no riots occurred? The FBI is doing its job.

I would only vote for him if the opposition was worse. There is no way we can't find better candidates in both parties that are not better than the garbage we've been stuck with recently.

 

It is all about "owning the libs" to some people.

 

What do you think can be done to revamp how candidates are chosen? They are going to keep churning out whatever they think the people will tolerate. That model has been working for them thus far. I really hate the "vote against the other candidate" style system.

I think you're right. It might be a bit longer while they "investigate" but he's a goner. He's not doing himself any favors talking to the press.

 

Its time for Biden to declare all militia groups to be domestic terrorist organization.

 

He's already made it clear that he'll throw a VP who choses the Constitution over licking his boots to a violent mob, so I don't see why anyone would voluntarily work with the man.

 

If these people were smart in the first place, they wouldn’t have blabbed their plans all over the internet in advance.

And they wouldn’t have gleefully posted themselves participating in it.

So, precautions are being taken because these people are radical, but not particularly smart.

After all, anyone who disgraces themselves because they believed in a phantom on the internet can’t be too smart.

It’s not the smart people you have to worry about (unless it’s Roger Stone, Bill Barr, or Mitch McConnell).

It’s the angry and ignorant who will hurt you.

 

I do as well. The massive division that the parties have engineered in this country keeps the "us against them" mentality alive, and allows them to put up candidates who will further divide, making it even more "us against them", etc etc.

I think the only thing that could break up the gridlock is introducing more parties. But that is almost dead on arrival with the overwhelming power of the other two parties. It would be nice if someone ran as an independent that was charasmatic and intelligent enough that could just crush the other 2 parties without needing a fortune and political power behind them. But that's probably wishful thinking, and would still have the problems of dealing with the house and senate and the games they play.

I think the only thing that will do it is for Americans to come to their senses and reject the division in this country. That would destroy politicians. But it is probably also wishful thinking, judging by the last couple decades.

I wish I had better answers rather than just hopes and wishes, lol

This is how Authoritarians / Fascists justify a military presences at our nation's Capitol.

 

There has never been a greater time in this country's history to question our elected officials! Their actions. Their motives. It is well past the time of Term Limits for elected officials.

 

How about that no one knows what the FBI is talking about and this seems all based on some internet "OH maybe it will be March 4th the original inauguration date" which probably 99% of the public didn't even know.

 

As opposed to being owned by them as they are trying to accomplish, yea I can support that.
