White House proposes pay increase for federal workers

The Americans who will pay the price for Obama's disarmament plans are in kindergarten today.

By the time these children grow up to military service age America will not be strong enough to win a war without suffering high casualties.

They will pay in blood for the Obama penny-pinching today.

 

right you are going to hire Radiological workers off the street to repair and maintain nuclear powered ships? It takes years of training and yes I think Nuclear engineers will leave for better jobs if you cut the pay and lay off a bunch , yes we need to downsize but ya just can't come in without any working knowledge and start hacking , it needs to made by people with the experience , now other dept yes like closing a few more bases overseas , using soldiers as security and letting go expensive contractors yup yup and yup

 

Please don't forget the unions campaign donations besides the votes.

 

I would call nuclear engineers key workers.

Whether there is an urgent demand for them in the private sector so that they could afford to walk off the job in government is a question I don't have the answer to.

But it seems improbable that they would all leave en masse if we decide to fire some of them.

It comes from reading about how many Americans have died in wars that that the country was unprepared to fight.

Notice that rather than downsizing the military commitment Obama is sending troops to places like Africa and making threats toward Iran.

So he plans to still send American soldiers to their death even if he isn't willing to give them enough weapons to fight with.

 

Its common sense.

 

and you would dare chance it cause I wouldn't. the security clearence alone can take 6 months , nuclear engineers also are structual and so on just have Nuc. Training too. My point is not all the workers in Government are sitting at a desk in Washington and Mnay are providing needed services to the nation ,

 

Ayuh,... That's not to say that a 5% overall cut in payroll couldn't be accomplished by attrition...

Retiring high paid folks replaced by new workers at a lower pay scale...

 

Agreed , we have been without a raise last year and this and I am not complaining we all have to do our part.
