are you saying they were not blacks in combat? Are you even remotely aware of all the blacks who died in World War II and yet when the survivors came back they were segregated because they were considered inferior. Are you aware of how so many of them were denied the benefits of the G.I. Bill? Shame on you

I'm not replying to this post. I quoted it because I want to ask you a question.

I went into an almost entirely "black" neighborhood. I had business being there.

I was hungry, so I pulled into a Kentucky Fried Chicken store.

I discovered something nasty mixed in my food.

Was it an accident, or was it a racist act?

I didn't call the news stations.

Oh, you would be surprised to know how degenerate college has become and especially the fields within humanities. Not much encouragement to think or discuss at all just about following instructions and handing in assignments. I actually regret attending higher education.

The university I went to is top in the coumtry and around top 50 (it has dropped alot over the years) in the world, so no, not a "bottom feeding college" in any sense.

It is hard when you do not have your privileged workshop-collegues to pat your back and give you confirmation, is it not? I am sure you never encounter differing opinions at work or even in media and now that you finally do, you start crying like a little girl. So much for "tolerance" and "open-mindedness".

Oh, you want to play that game? Fine, then. Why don't you go and complain about slavery, segregation and "White Privilege" to the people who decided that and the Whites who have actual privilege?

You know, for being in charge of a workshop that "challenges stereotypes", you seem to be very judgemental yourself.

Are you sure you aren't just a genuine racist who suffers from "internalised tolerance"? :D

Nah. Boys and girls are different by default and play in different ways. I remember back in 2nd grade when I went home to my "girlfriend" and she started showing me her dollies and stuff and I was completely uninterested. Similarly, she was extremely bored when I showed her my cool videogames. My 6 year old cousin is extremely girly and I can assure you she would not touch an action-figure if she was forced to. Only thing that is internalised in kids is nature.

Trying to step in as a boring adult and intervene a child's imagination is extremely dangerous for their development. Here in Sweden, we have these "gender neutral" kindergartens where they don't have any "gendered toys" and don't allow boys to play "bang bang" and girls to braid each others' hair. One kindergarten in my city has replaced the pronouns "he" and "she" with "flower".

You monster! Check your privilege! Oh my God! What gives you the authority to enter another race's neighbourhood? Were you looking for slaves? And then, just because it is a Black neighbourhood, you go to KFC? Now c'mon, that is really low! Then you call the food disgusting because it was made by Blacks. Oh. My. God. You should be ashamed.

Bigot! You White, racist, male, sexist, bigotted, privileged, rude piece of cis-scum!

I am not leading a workshop so I can be as judgmental as I want. It’s a good escape for me :) What is funny is that sometimes I have to take views I don’t hold to start discussions.
Boys and girls are different but they are socialized from the day they’re born..pink for girls and blue for boys. Giving a couple of your examples proves nothing. Girls are encouraged to do girl things AND boy things. Boys are discouraged from doing girl things. Something we say to boys is, “don’t act like a girl” as though it is the worst thing . An example is little boys like to color their nails too because the bright colors are fun but they are discouraged from doing that because “girls do that” we give girls loving dolls and we give boys killing dolls. We used to give girls nursing kits and boys drs kits...that’s changed. They’re now medical kits
I agree with you that intervening in a child’s imagination is sometimes a bad thing...(sometimes it’s necessary.) but it is usually parents of boys who deny them their Imagination..especially if it’s “girly”,

Oh, f- off! Are you going to try to end this conversation by escaping from it with claiming you were just playing devil's advocate all this time? Allow me to lol.

Boys and girls generally prefer different toys and tend to play in different ways. How individual parents choose to raise their sons and daughters should not be of anyone else's concern.

    Hmmm.

    If you really believe in "(White) Male Privilege" you have a few tough nuts to crack that are;
    - Why was - and still is - it men who go abroad to die in government warfare? Why not just send the women?
    - Why was - and still is - it men who broke their backs from heavy farmwork and die in workplace-accidents?
    - Why do men dominate the suicide statistics?
    - Why is it that boys are falling behind in school?
    - Why is it that teachers grade assignments higher when they think it is handed in by a girl? [http://www.bbc.com/news/education-31751672]
    - Why is it that we need "more female engineers" and not more female workers on oil rinks?

If society is really run by men to cater men and hold down women, how can it be that reality is not the opposite; one where women are drafted, one where women die at work, one where women commit more suicide, one where girls are falling behind in school and one where girls are graded lower for the same assignment?

As you see, it is very easy to build up an illusion of "oppression" when you cherry-pick data and collectivise. Since you are a dedicated follower of "Privilege Theory", I would love to hear your explanations and if any of them include "muh, muh toxic masculinity", you lack credibility and consistency because if you really believed in "toxic masculinity", you would have to believe in "toxic femininity" and blame all "female problems" on that as well. By the way, I can even - right now - build up an illusion of an existing "Black Female Privilege" by claiming that Beyonce and Rihanna make more money than Builder Bob and Janitor Jack - "Oh mah gawd, dat uppressien be real!"

What exactly is "White Male Privilege" anyways?

I’m not playing devils advocate with you...I have to do that in my workshops. Sorry I didn’t make that clear.
Again toys are also socialized. We even have boys toys and girls toys aisles.... in one of my workshops a mother said she’d love to let her boys play with girls toys but she feared they’d be ridiculed. I totally understand . One of the boys in my class said, “ what boys do has more values than what girls do” that was a 14 year old boy having a realization
Something funny just happened with my granddaughter. She was playing basketball with the neighbors boy and she whooped his ass...he was humiliated and said, “ oh, I let you win” sure! I bought her a tee shirt that says “ I play like a girl...now try keeping up .

I don’t know the answers.youd have to ask the men who made the rules I can show you dozens of sites where people grade boys higher but that’s wrong either way
Why should we say we need more women in oil rigs? Men are stronger physically. We do say we need more men teaching kindergarten.why would I encourage either gender to work on an oil rig?
Men are drafted yes, but who stays at home to raise the children and take care of the home etc? Once again, women’s work Diminished
Stop with your childish “ toxic masculinity “ stop being so Insecure
Gee, Beyoncé makes more than a janitor...sexist??.stop being so silly . Now you know why I don’t believe your credentials

They have experimented with this on week old infants and the results show that boys generally prefer "spatial toys" (cars, trucks etc) and girls prefer "facial toys" (dollies etc). The same has also been tried on chimps where the result is the exact same. It has nothing to do with "socialisation" and everything to do with nature. The supply in toy stores looks the way it does because it is shaped by the demand.

What a selfish, little prick! Why would she want to buy her son toys he hasn't asked for?

Not really true though since value is entirely subjective.

    Cute story, granny.

Would the manager have told me whether it was a racist incident, or not?

    I asked you.

We are both chatting it up how FDR and then Truman, both Democrats evaluated blacks as less than full combat troops. Assigned to menial tasks, loading or unloading trucks for example, they were held out due to Democrat bigotry. Shame on you for evading that it was not me, but Democrats doing this.

I was curious about how many blacks were killed in World War II too, since you brought it up, and I have to say, I was surprised by the number.

"According to Warfare and Armed Conflicts- A Statistical Reference to Casualty and Other Figures, during World War Two 1.2 million African Americans served in the U.S. Armed Forces and 708 were killed in combat."
