The President said it was both people's fault, and I'm doing my best in the insane era, to show you how most people thought pre-Donald Trump. The cause of the stupid protest was the toppling of the statues. A relatively meaningless gesture, thinking that you could erase the past or the "sins" of America by removing a bunch of statues.

The Neo-Nazis should not have brought their ideology or their presence to the protests, but any social conflict would have given rise potentially to a more violent event. And thus, the inevitable result to come. Maybe next time, political sides won't touch inanimate objects with some form of history.

Or touch them all equally(IE: Some wanted to remove Wilson and we should remove Washington.) But that'll be even more divided.

Most Neo-Nazis aren't aware of much, this idea that they're versed in Fascist theory is ludicrous. They hate blacks, first and most of all, but will settle for Hispanics, Asians, anybody really, and that is largely ALL they're about, just a total vitriolic hate for almost anybody, but blacks most of all. Fascism is actually a fairly well-developed and even sophisticated political ideology. German WWII Naziism is a good deal more rudimentary but still something that had been worked on by the best University system that may have ever existed, and it was a very global and WORLDWIDE phenomena, with substantial American roots and large branches in South America. Most Trumpists and Neos don't even really know what Globalism actually is, except for this idea that it's vaguely anti-Trump, and thus bad.

I think it is reasonable for a judge or a jury to conclude that a Nazi is actively looking for trouble.

 

There was one video that showed the impact and pursuers quickly attacking the perp's car before he reversed to escape the scene.
That might have been his best bet for a self defense argument, but not if the jury concluded there was premeditation.

The death penalty fits the crime.
