    Before 1900 Republicans had seated 22 African Americans in Congress. From 1901 to 1971 they seated a whole two more. Yep, two. Since then another 9 (one of those is a double up - Tim Scott has been in both chambers). These numbers only cover voting members.

    In that same period Democrats have seated over 125 African Americans in Congress. One of them went on to become Vice President & one President. Over 50 sit in Congress at the moment, compared to a whole three for the GOP.

    Believes in a whole bunch of conspiracy theories.
    No one should take them serious and believe them, but take them serious as they are against reality and USA.

    The Brits did fight several wars over slavery, wars ABOLISHING it. Slavery and the Slave Trade was a major excuse for British Imperialism, particularly in Africa.

    OTOH the Brits had nothing even close to the American stake in slavery. At the time of the ACW slaves composed the largest single class of assets that existed in America. The cotton trade almost brought the Brits into the ACW on the Confederate side and we all know who picked the cotton (though that wasn't the entire reason for slavery)

    I meant that Britain didn't have a civil war over slavery, they decided to end the practice and that was that.

    Touché and that’s why I will never vote for Trump again and I have actively said that. However what party let the assault rifle ban lapse? What party opposed the Brady bill and which one revived it?

    These groups will grow more powerful throughout Bidens presidency. We are at a stage where new world order conspiracy nuts are turning out to be right. I highly doubt Bidens woke handlers see the problem, though.

    The Brady Bill attempted to enforce gun control. It derived federal authorization from the ability of the federal government to regulate interstate commerce. It did not establish any new laws. It only allowed officials a more efficient way of making sure earlier bills, such as the Gun Control Act of 1986 and the National Firearms Act of 1934, could be allowed to work as intended. It grew out of concern aroused by an unsuccessful assassination attempt against President Reagan. The gun reform laws sought to make it more difficult for already identified persons who pose a risk to other citizens to obtain guns.
