For example someone(?) posted humiliating speeches to me , in general and private posts , at least 4 times . Reported him at every turn but he's still in forum and didnt receive any punishment by moderators . if I had done the same things I would be a prisoner in Guantánamo .

 

You don't know he didn't receive punishment from moderators. You're just guessing that he didn't. If what this person did was against the rules, we don't need a Muslim mod to enforce those rules.

Yeah , maybe you're right , because I checked now the last post he sent to forum , its on the same date with my last report date . But still its too late for a punishment . So a muslim mod would speed up legislative, executive, and judicial proceedings : ))) . if I would a mod you can criticize Islam the way you want as long as you dont insult .

 

I don't doubt that, given the kind of justice doled out in the Islamic world.

Sounds like that would require a high amount of subjectivity. I don't think a Muslim moderator would be able to stay objective when determining whether something is valid criticism or an "insult".

Anyway.... I seriously doubt you're being considered as a moderator, or that people in general on the site see a need to have a Muslim moderator , but we'll see.

 

I think that we all see actual opinions from moderators. The notion that you have to be something different than you are when asked is silly. You just cannot apply moderation power by political position or opinion. You just need to be who you are, and use the moderation powers to moderate. If you have no self control... well, you should probably disqualify yourself.

Balanced opinions do not make a good moderator... which is what it seems like most are looking for.

The worst trolls on the forum could be the best moderators. You just wouldn't know. "Help the site, don't abuse the stick" is really what you are looking for.


None of you (*)(*)(*)(*)s nominated me. I have already stated I wouldn't do it to the mods... but none of you (*)(*)(*)(*)s nominated me. I hate you all.

It's time to stop the chatter about religion, in this thread. I fully understand how the subject of religion became intertwined with the thread topic. But it is not relevant.
