Why am I paying for a war in Ukraine?
Not just cash, but commodity too. Gas, gasoline, etc.

If not Vietnam, Afghanistan (longer than 'nam) and multiple Middle East
military involvement now it is Ukraine - with cash, material, and :flagus: blood, bone & lives.

    Please explain to Moi
why am I paying for a war in Ukraine?
Because it is all we have? ;)
A sinister proxy war to test weapon systems.

    Thank You.

    https://www.csis.org/analysis/what-does-40-billion-aid-ukraine-buy
Congress has approved $40 billion in aid for Ukraine and other countries affected by the conflict―the sixth aid package since the war began. A major change is that this package looks ahead months rather than weeks.

The aid package provides $19 billion for immediate military support to Ukraine, continuing the effort that has been vital to sustaining Ukrainian resistance, and $3.9 billion to sustain U.S. forces deployed to Europe. The package also contains about $16 billion for economic support to Ukraine, global humanitarian relief, and a wide variety of international programs as well as $2 billion for long-term support to NATO allies and DOD modernization programs.

President Biden this morning announced another $800 million in military aid for Ukraine. This is just one part of support for Ukraine as it tries to beat back the invasion by Russia.

Because the Ukrainians have spent a lot of money bribing US and European politicians and they are cashing in their chips.

The real question is where is it all going.... is there any accountability or are we just writing checks to "whom ever it concerns"... We are writing checks to a country that is listed as only a notch less corrupt than the Russians.

Biden's war in the Ukraine has made a fortune for the mainstream media.

Because those conducting the war know they have done the same thing since Vietnam at least. They know the tax payers are powerless to stop them, and they know that if the emotional appeal and propaganda works well enough most tax payers will be onboard for war under fraud.

Emotions rule amongst the tax payers, and therefore analytical thinking is rare indeed.

    Why?

Because a US ally was invaded, the house of representatives responded with a vote of 368-to-57 to send aid to said ally, and the the senate voted 89 to 11. Without the help of the US and other allies, Russia would likely have full control over Ukraine.

Perhaps that is the outcome you prefer, but I do not agree with that position personally. I don't care for regime change, whether it be Iraq, Libya, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, ect. However, if an ally of the US is invaded, I do believe the US should help defend said ally in some manner.

Joe Biden can say anything, and a lot of the public believes it just because that's the easiest thing to do.

Prove Joe is lying and nobody cares because he's really old and can't do any better.

'All's fair in love and war'

When it comes to war, US presidents push lying to the limit and beyond.

On 911 G.W.Bush said we have been attacked by our enemies.

15 were Saudis, 1 Egyptian, 1 Lebonese, 2 from UAE.

They were admitted into the US because they are our allies.

But it wouldn't sound right to say 'we were attacked by our allies'.

Well he hasn't screwed up as bad as Obama and Sec. Clinton did with Syria, so I will give him some credit.

So you’re saying let Russia take over the world until at some point, whatever that is, you’ll start to have a problem with it, assuming you’d have a problem with that at any point at all.

The Commander in Chief is literally the head of our foreign policy... aside from that, it's not just one president who has made that determination. It's really not a disputed thing, Ukraine is considered a US ally

You're paying for it because Joe Biden desperately needs to distract the country from it's gross incompetence and criminal behavior I'm wondering if because of Biden's Miss deeds with a particular Ukrainian oil company if this is all about covering that up.

Essentially you were forced to pay for it because.

Being an ally would presuppose that we had some sort of pre-existing military alliance or defense pact with Ukraine, which we didn't.

So...not an ally. That's not really a disputed thing.

In my view we should stay completely out of it. No money, no weapons, no sanctions. Nothing to do with us at all. Build up a force purely for defense of the homeland, stockpile nukes and stay out of it.

Unfortunately, the concepts of invading countries because you want to tends do be contagious. If it works once and the world allows it, it happens again. Then when it comes to your country, it will matter to you- but nobody will lift a finger to stop it because it's not them. Hitler took all of Europe because they all stood back and thought they were not the ones at risk.

It's a bad situation either way- but the sooner it's made clear that such invasions are not acceptable, the sooner they will stop happening. Call it discipline, just as with kids. Rules not enforced are not rules, just window dressing. Politicians love rubber rules and values, just like kids. Until it gets serious.

I believe helping the Ukraine may be the best investment the US has ever made. The amount of money is relatively trivial, but it is costing Russia a fortune.

The Biden Family receiving money from Burisma and other interests does not make Ukraine an ally.

It was very generous of Zelsky to defy Putin and offer to hold a proxy war in Ukraine.

The war borders Russia so they have a lot at stake and we have nothing.

But we will fight down to the very last Ukrainian.
