Why Charlottesville is partially the lefts fault.

With the recent events at Charlottesville, I decided to wait a few days to post this, so this is why this is coming out late. Now, before I start let me just say I am against all racism of any kind. Now that that's out of the way, let me just say that the events that happened in Charlottesville last weekend were a tragedy, but what I find so frustrating and infuriating is that what happened is partially the lefts fault and no one is calling this out.

The left has been using racist identity political views against white people for years and no one has been calling it out. So when the people in Charlottesville were yelling "You will not replace us!!!!", or whatever, they were reacting to a growing racist movement among the leftwing side of politics that actively discriminates and hates white people. So, in response a lot of white people have decided to use the same strategy against the left.

And what I find the most frustrating is the medias bullshit reaction. Because when Dallas, Tx police officers were murdered by a racist black man or a white teenagers is beaten up for racist reasons, they don't give a care. But when, white people do it, it's then the biggest news in the country. And then there is the response to Donald Trumps reaction. He rightfully said there is hatred from all sides on this and people like John Oliver complain about how he didn't call out white supremacy, well when those Dallas, Tx officers died Obama didn't address black supremacy and racism against whites and I don't see anyone in the media or anyone on the left complaining about it.

Why can't we just say that all racism is bad. Why can't we just live peacefully with each other. End the identity politics on both sides!!!!!!

No, there is nothing about what the nazi did to that woman that was anyone's fault but his.

I will agree that those on the left often label larger groups of white people when they shouldn't. But that doesn't make what happened their fault at all. If you believe that, then you have no concept of personal accountability.

Who is this "The left" of which you clearly enjoy speaking so much?

    Do I belong to it?

It's nice that you waited so you could regurgitate the right-wing radio talking points verbatim ... oh, well.

"racist identity political views" is certainly one way to describe functional white folks like me who call nazis mean names, for sure.

I said it was "partially their fault" the driver who killed that woman is responsible and I don't deny that. But I am merely making a rational argument as why it happened.

Some people were permitted to protest the removal of a statue of an iconic Virginian. Other people didn't think the first group should be allowed their Constitutional rights. They had nothing to protest but the rights of the first group of people. Who were the aggressors: The people who opposed a policy and demonstrated against the policy or those whose policy was being executed and opposed the free speech rights of the first group? I hate to see anyone hurt, but they came for no other reason but to fight and got what they came for.

You weren't making an argument. You were regurgitating talking points that have been posted ad nauseam in these threads over the last two days.

As soon as someone uses "the left" to describe 60 million plus people and tries to ascribe the actions of 50 people to those 60 million, I cannot take their "argument" as serious. You want to get serious? Point the finger at people who were actually there - not just some asinine nebulous "the left".
    That's lazy.

Doesn't matter one bit. The group that came to protest against the Nazi's had every right to voice their counter argument. No one had right to kill another. No one got what they deserved. That's your implication, that because someone disagreed with the Nazi's, that getting hit by a car and killed is a reasonable consequence. That's utter and completely false and you wouldn't stand for that argument if someone from BLM did it to a Nazi.

Do you have proof that the woman killed was threatening the life of the man in the car? If not, then what you have is murder. Plain and simple.

The neo-nazi dicks were there for the same reason West boro Bapt ist show up to protest at soldier's funerals. They were trolling for reactions. They were trolling for headlines. Unfortunately, they got the reaction they were looking for and everyone loses.

Wrong for them to troll. Wrong for the other side to react. People died. Stupid on all sides. But, please - don't pretend this was about one side wanting to uphold their constitutional rights - it was a pure troll move on their part. Nothing more.

You are confusing fault and responsibility. Fault is who committed the act, the driver. He's at fault. 100% fault is with him. Who is responsible? Well that might be many. I won't say that the counter protestors did nothing to provoke arguing or fighting. I'm sure there was squabbling on both sides. The bottom line is no one has proven that anyone threatened the driver of that car's life thus justifying using a deadly weapon in the manner in which he did.

    And who are these people?

Right now you're talking about some ill-defined group which nobody has the faintest idea who it actually consists of.

People died because left wingers launched an attack against the free speech rights of others. The clowns should have scheduled their own demonstration against Robert E. Lee instead of attacking the rights of others to petition the government. These leftist, BTW, also protested uttering quotes by Thomas Jefferson.

When I say the left, I guess what I am saying is the progressive SJW crowd on the left.

I don't think the OP is saying that the woman being killed was the left's fault. I think he was referring to the entire event.

The same "reasoning" can be used to justify saying that NYC citizens are partially responsible for suffering like they did in 9/11.

Face it, there would never have been a problem if the violent left had not tried to take over the peaceful protest.

How? All I am trying to say is that what happened in Charlottesville is a response to the identity politics of the left by identity politics on the right and that we all need to just stop with the identity politics. I am merely trying to say that the lefts identity political narrative partially caused this. Also I don't get the comparison your making. Are you saying I am blaming the victim in this particular scenario?

Those dead citizens of NYC identify themselves as Americans. To the attackers that means that they self identify as enemies of the radical Islamism (an ideology - not a religion - which so closely parallels the idiocies of right wing extremism). Thus, they are also responsible for being victimized.

Such crazed ideas have no basis in reality.

Yup, the left invited the crazed killer to plow into them. Brilliant reply.

The violent left would not have been there if they valued free speech, which they don't.
