Sure she is young, educated (some of the dumbest people I know have degrees), and energetic, yet she spouts very pro socialist (makes one doubt her intelligence) policies and makes idiotic claims based on hysteria and feelings. She also now has a modicum of power which makes her nonsense more dangerous.

Cohen's testimony is nothing more than Cohen's attempt at selling a book in the future and covering his own ass without any corroboration or evidence about anything therefore it's nothing more than a pile of unfounded verbiage spewed from the oral orifice of an admitted liar.

She trained at the knee of Democrats. I think she worked once for one of the Kennedy clan.

Cohen's testimony was a long overdue chance for the public to witness the account of someone who was complicit in Individual 1's criminal activities for years. As much as I understand the need for matters of national security to be guarded the more public hearings that are part of the investigation in to the epic corruption of the Conman-in-Chief the better.

No. Payments for a non-disclosure agreement are very common and no different from TV advertising time and so are perfectly legal. That is especially true if a candidate spends his own money which has no limits. The claim is that they were unreported campaign contributions made by Cohen. That nimbly ignores that Trump reimbursed Cohen for his expenses and his services as his lawyer (paid him more than double the cash outlay to cover the lawyer's time, IIRC). Yet Cohen in a twisted way showed one of his payment checks to somehow imply that the check proved some sort of illegality. Quite telling is what's-her-face sued Trump to undo her non-disclosure agreement because she thought she could make more money talking about it, and the judge ruled against her and ordered her to pay about $300,000 to compensate Trump for his legal expenses from her suit..

It must have slipped your mind, but Trump-Russia coordination is solely what the Mueller investigation is all about and the foundation for the illegal FISA surveillance warrants and the plotting by the upper levels of the FBI and others to overthrow a president. That the plotters are now scrounging for other stuff is not surprising, and you are correct, coup attempts do cause a president much trouble.

That is the purpose of the Mueller investigation. I noticed that the left ignores that Cohen said that Trump didn't ask him to lie to Congress and that he said that he had never been to Prague. That's cherry picking. Of course when that is published and doesn't indicate that Trump did any of the things that the left has been accusing him of (collusion and obstruction) it won't be enough. The left will keep holding nonsense hearings in the hopes of regaining hope that they can impeach the bad orange man.

This has been the goal of Democrats commencing with his beating Hillary.

First one must define Trump's crimes. We have not had it take place yet.

I don't believe that addresses the actual issue. If the hush money is deemed to be a campaign contribution (due to proximity to the election and testimony of witnesses) then Trump has a problem.

Your "Quite telling ..." sentence isn't "telling" at all - it's irrelevant.

Nope It can not be deemed a campaign expense if it was not paid with campaign funds. Trump is perfectly free to do with his own money as he pleases. If it was not illegal as determined by the Jury for Mr. Risky business to use actually campaign funds to pay support for his mistresses child then it certainly isn't illegal to pay hookers shut up and go away money out of one's own pocket whether NPR or anyone else likes it or not. If Congress can use public money to pay off sexual, it certainly isn't illegal for Trump to use his own money to do the same damn thing. Whether there is an on going political campaign is at that point entirely beside the point.

Your idea here SOUNDS good, but I don't believe it's actually the case.

Money spent for campaign purposes still has to be recorded as campaign spending. For example, candidates can't just use personal money to buy ads proclaiming their merits during an election campaign. They CAN donate money to their campaign and then spend that money any way they want consistent with campaign finance and spending law.

I'm not aware of all the times Congress has spent money on buying off those who accuse congressmen of sexual misconduct. My view is that should be illegal from the very start. It's not the business of government to protect congressmen from sexual misconduct litigation. And, that goes double when they're using tax dollars to do it.

Nope. This is a common misconception among Trumpers.

The payments don't have to come from Trump's campaign to be a campaign-finance violation

That's one of the weirdest paragraph I have seen in a while. This investigation was not "solely" about anything. It was basically (but not "solely") about the Russia intervention in our elections and triggered by Trump's obstruction. But that fact and nothing on your response has anyithing to do with my statement anyway....

I beg your pardon. Mueller's authorization was to investigate "any links and/or coordination bet ween the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump;" -- nothing more, nothing less. Sorry Charlie. Nice try.

The only one who claims it is a non-personal campaign contribution is Cohen, because it serves his purpose.
