Why did nobody tell Trump that it would be a bad idea to get Ukraine to investigate Biden?

First, I never indicated any of those news sources had a right of center lean. As stated multiple times I issued a challenge to cite sources with no more than a right or left of center political bent, with AP being a gold standard with no apparent political leanings.
Secondly, I did source my claims here:

Lastly, if you are going to inject yourself into a conversation, it would serve you well to read previous posts before claiming what a poster has or hasn’t said. You’ve clearly only read the posts you quoted.

 

I think it was a great idea to leverage the Ukraine into investigating Biden. If there was corruption, lets dig it out. Dems are just pissed because Trump was getting dirt on their boy, biden. And, of course, they are still pissed they lost the election.

I have zero problem with using a foreign nation to investigate this. Does using the ukraine somehow make biden less guilty if anything was discovered? nope.

No one is claiming that Biden might be innocent, although why he would want to have the guy fired that stopped an inquiry into the firm that hired his son I am not too sure.....

I disagree. I see no reason why the president shouldn't be able to unilaterally do this, besides it would give dems a chance to block the investigation.

Trump started out with a pretty capable crew when it came to foreign affairs, but he fired them all or forced them to quit. Trump preferred sycophants, lackeys, yes men, because he can't stand to have someone question his illogical beliefs. So, now our government is left with people like Pence, Mulvaney, Pompeo, Mnuchin, Barr, Jared, and Ivanka.

As a consequence, Trump is being impeached because he asked for foreign interference in our Presidential election to benefit his reelection campaign and extorted a foreign leader to get what he wanted. No one was around to impress upon him that was a really stupid idea.

Because nobody is above the law. Besides, the law would have been broken in Ukraine, therefore their laws would be used to put them behind bars in a Ukraine prison.

This whole impeachment thing would have happened regardless, so it doesn't matter what reason the democrats give.

In fact Trump held up a shipment of Javelin missiles to UIkraine in order to force them to drop the "Black Ledger" investigation that implicated Manafort.

He got convicted here anyway...but Trump always goes back to the well. If it worked once, he'll do it again
