Lets just forget the racism charges, and the anti-semitism charges since Ron Paul fans can at least somewhat claim that Ron Paul hasn't made any public statements that prove conclusively his true feelings on the matter and just concentrate on what Ron Paul has always publically stated and never backed down from.

So, Ron Paul doesn't claim to be a 9/11 truther, but he sure has no problem pandering to them! Which IMO makes him just as bad as the truthers themselves.

There you have it and why no matter how "conservative" Ron Paul is, no matter what his stance on "Constitutional issues" or "freedom" or "individuality".. I cannot vote for a man who either believes in paranoid whackjob conspiracy theories, or has no guilt in failing to dissuade or outright panders to them.

Totally agree. There aren't any powerful people who try to use international government to undermine American sovereignty. To suggest otherwise is pure lunacy.

I want to compliment the OP he would do a great job working for Time magazine or any major MSM paper.

The propaganda is strong with this one.

Author of the smear/denial piece = James Kirchick, proud member of the neo-con think-tank, Foundation for Defense of Democracies

James Kirchick is a contributing editor for The New Republic and a fellow with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

    LMAO

Thank you for outting yourselves so voluntarily!

I'm not here to debunk your whackjob conspiracy theories. Feel free to indulge in your paranoid fairy tales.

I just want to know why they are so (*)(*)(*)(*) attractive to your minds?

Why do you feel the need to think you "know more" or are "better informed" than the rest of society?

Libertarians have a distrust of large central govts. that borders on insanity.

It's a mental disease, really. People that get caught up in conspiracies are taught to reflexively (and thoughtlessly) suspect everything they're told by major media sources. While they eagerly consume specious claims, rumors, and half truths, they laugh at all the "duped masses" who naively believe that we landed on the moon and that Al Quaida hijacked planes and flew them into buildings. Claiming to be the thinkers, they shut off their critical thinking and reject by perfunctory reflex every established axiom. Their keen in their suspicion of everything accept their own far fetched conclusions. Believing everyone to be sheep, they have become the most mindless followers of everyone. It's sad really, and almost funny in a way that makes you laugh to keep from weeping for them.

We've read and believe that powerful people mean what they say? I hope you agree with their agenda...

There's nothing conspiratorial about international socialists and despots trying to undermine US sovereignty.

International arms treaties, human "rights" agreements, and cap and trade schema are just a few examples.

Our President recently initiated a military campaign against Libya without Congressional authorization and essentially at the behest of the UN and NATO.

Funny how so-called "conservatives" are changing their tune, especially when one of them accuses leftists of wanting to starve the US of fossil fuels. Does that conspiratorial rhetoric apply to leftists abroad or just at home?

The OP's "point" concerned Ron Paul's penchant for "fake" conspiracy theories, yet he provided no evidence of Ron Paul espousing anything "fake".

There are indeed powerful political interests who have been trying to undermine our sovereignty for decades. Their main vehicle for accomplishing these ends has always been the UN (sometimes in conjunction with the IMF and World Bank, both of which we subsidize with US tax dollars), where international socialists and tinpot dictators try to redistribute wealth from our country to the third world.

And not only do they use the UN to undermine our sovereignty, but they also use it as a platform to legitimize their demonization of Israel.

My only point was to showcase how little it took for marbro to believe Silicon worked for a major mainstream media publication. Nothing more, but you are free to read into it as deeply as you wish.

I do not believe that is what marbro said, and I'm not trying to read deeply into anything, just providing my two cents.

Central governments have a long history of exploiting, torturing, and systematically exterminating people. It's insane not to distrust them.

It's only since power has devolved away from central governments that common people have started to enjoy their inalienable rights to life and liberty.

On 9/11...it's possible to seek "truth", the whole "truth" without saying that it was an inside job or other claims. Ron Paul has refuted any questions insinuating that our government was involved, but he's not going to be mean to a young woman asking him a question, when there is a legitimate case that there was some cover-up/botched investigation for whatever reason.

When half of the investigators are saying that they were lied to or being obstructed, that means we never got the whole truth. High level officials and experts alike have questioned the event and the investigation. I'm sorry if you thought it was just a bunch of kooky stoners.

Sorry, has Obama said he'll stop killing children in Pakistan yet? No? Okay. Remind me to care about this issue when he does.

Congrats Silicon, you've started yet another retarded thread where you pretty much chase your own tail around in circles.

What's really sad, is it's the neocon wackjobs such as yourself, who are the real kooks.

It's kooks like you, who seem to think perpetual war is a good thing, even though none of you get off your asses, and go fight the wars you cheerlead for behind your keyboards. Along with being cowardly, that meets the definition of kookery.

It's kooks like you, who rant about how the horrible the left in this country is for pushing their views on the rest of us, and yet you're no better. Not only does that make you a raging hypocrite, that also qualifies you as a kook.

So before you try in your pathetic little way, to demean somebody, by labeling them a crackpot, I suggest you take a long hard look in the mirror.

    1. Obama is a Muslim.
    2. Obama is not American.
    3. Obama hates America.
    4. Obama wants to destroy America.
    5. Obama wants to bring European socialism to America.
    6. Europe is socialist.
    7. If you're not conservative, you're a socialist.
    8. All Muslims want to destroy America.

Another question - why in the hell can't someone be found to run for president who believes in limited government but doesn't also believe they were abducted by trilaterally commissioned aliens and other fringe paranoia? Just to have the possibility of reestablishing some sanity to the role of government I will probably be forced to vote for someone that's perceives immanent threat on the dollar bill or receives guidance from the spirits of the departed.

I love this thread. I'd like to hear what Sibel Edmonds has to say. Our mainstream media networks are disgusting and show no appetency for any type of investigative journalism. They are mostly just smear artists, vilifying anyone who questions the company line.

I showed how many of the commissioners, CIA officials, and representatives reject the investigation, yet according the the smear artists, anyone who wants answers to why so many credible people have a problem with the investigation are akin to saying that the moon is made of cheese.

Good show to predicate your post with slanted spin and bias statements. His actions are his TRUE FELLINGS, not the accusations people not of the groups he is soposedly offending are making.

Ron Paul doesn't fall in line with being a truther, he voted to go after those responsible...aka Al Queda. Ron Paul not shouting down truthers falls in line with his libertarian views that to each their own and it is not his place to shout down someone with an opposing view point like Fox Opinion casters.

You vote for hypocrites that care nothing for conservativism or constitutional issues or freedom or individuality, but try to pander to those that want to suppress individual thought and dont follow the propaganda machine.

Case in point. No one believes the fringe paranoia you are coming up with out of your ass. I've torn this thread to shreds. You just don't know what you're talking about.

So, with the title of this thread called "Why do Libertarians have a Disturbing Penchant for Fake Conspiracies?"Has there been shown there have been true conspiracies? I mean can you prove what Ron says is fake or do you dismiss it cause "how can that really be happening" or "I can't be that far down in the sand with my head" thought rambling through your head?
