in addition, as I said atheism like every other ism has philosophy attached to it, if you do not believe in G/gods then you will not go to church, hence the result of your choice of religion no different than a muslim that would not go to hindu ceremony. atheist apologists hit a brick wall when asked to make the distinctions, they respond with no response at all.

There is no clear evidence for the big bang, it is purely hypothetical which requires belief with no material facts in support of the belief, it is accepted on faith like any other other religion.

There's really no response to make. All these religious people you talk about make decisions based on their various religious beliefs. They hold a "faith". They "worship". They accept a notion of a supernatural. Etc.

An atheist doesn't. That's what the "a" means! Why is that hard for you to handle?

By the way, I don't see capitalISM, communISM, racISM, etc. as religions, either.

How about this: Let's remember that there are many Christians who are scientists, and therefore allow no element of their religious belief to enter their work - as per the requirements of science.

Are they practicing a different religion? Is their work blasphemy or idolatry? Or, are they just helping humanity to better understand how our physical world works?

As an atheist, I think if the only reason someone does good , or behaves, is because they think someone is watching them.

so we have 2 groups of people that live according to:

1) G/god says:
you dont sass your parents,
you do not kill,
you do not steal,
you do not bang someone elses wife
etc

2) Your convictions says:
you dont sass your parents,

If number 1 is a religion why isnt number 2 a religion since they have an identical moral structure?

God is just a title. All deities have unique names so you should use the name of the specific deity you think you believe in. There are thousand of the critters. It helps to be on the same page when discussing imaginary characters.

Atheists agree that theists God given morals such as (dont kill) are 'religious', and in the same breath deny the same morals are religious when atheists that have adopted them.

That is highly cognitively dissonant, which is when people believe a position that accepts both sides of a contradictory argument at the same time.

 

You are not in a position to declare what people believe in or rave about.
You are just making up your own reality. There are lots of things a typical atheist will not do just because it is wrong.
Not because it is on some religions, "do not do" list.

 

I always win against you. Believe as you wish, and don't worry about others' beliefs. Your self made reality is not others' parameters of existence.
