Why do some Conservatives want the right to discriminate???

It makes perfect sense, when someone belongs to a group that is known to make itself controversial and brings that into the work place they become a liability and can create a toxic environment. Prospective employers are looking for the best candidates for a particular position and that has to do with qualifications but it also means zero baggage. Every workplace has policies to deal with harassment and discrimination which allows them to deal effectively with violations, however, there are individuals who are chronic complainers and accusers. These people can be very difficult to work with and difficult to terminate. Every business has the right to vet prospective employees and if there are red flags in someone's history are well within their rights to deny employment. Where ever one works they need to be adults and leave their personal lives at the door.

 

But you are not paying for any part of my business in the long run and I am paying my fair share.

By the way, I suspect the Russians are more controlling of a business than we are.

personally I believe we owe the Native Americans a ton of land, or current fair market value for it.

Because voluntary association is just as fundamental to self determination (read: liberty) as body autonomy, private property, equal representation in governance and freedom of expression.

We should have as much right to avoid association with a fascist or a racist as a fascist or a racist should have to avoid association with us.

because we in the USA have decided that discrimination against things we cant change, or shouldnt have to change, like race/religion/ethnicity/sexuality/gender, should not be a basis for refusing service or hiring/firing.

I am doing just the opposite. I am making completely free will. You don't tell me what to do and I don't tell you what to do. You are still failing to provide a good reason.
