Oh.... I'm sorry. Did the reference go way over your head? Here... I'll dumb it down for you:

The demographics in the Republican Party has been getting older and older. Also, Republicans have been reducing their own base to Christian white males. Their struggle against minority rights, against women and against religious freedom has limited the diversity of their base tremendously. That's the situation that phrase was referencing.

BTW "racism"? Obviously you don't know what that that means. But that would be a topic for a different discussion.

What kind of law? What "kinds" of law are there? And what the hell does that have to do with anything I wrote?

I see you excel at repeating senseless right-wingnut media talking points that have no relation to the topic discussed. Since it has absolutely nothing to do with anything I wrote, I'll just let you go on with your rant.

When parties become extreme left or right, people move to the center and become independent. The GOP message has lost its charm as it becomes more strident. Also, the demographics are against the GOP with women, suburban, and younger voters dominating. The GOP has done nothing to expand its base and is stuck on 38% share or less.

Trump has increased the divide by stoking up his base through divisive language. A lot of Reagan Republicans have left the GOP. Worse for the GOP is that Independents trend to vote Democratic.

During the Cold War Americans had a shared, common value - fear and hatred of the U.S.S.R. That's gone now and we have turned inward.

You make a great point. GOP has made no effort to appeal to minority voters. They arent the party of "old white males" out of racism like the violent left days, they are out of lazy and unimaginative leadership. They have done nothing to recruit and groom minority voters and have done an amazing job of allowing the press to paint the "racist" tag on them. At the same time, they have gone out of their way to appeal to extremist Christians that want a theocratic govt.

Whites are 75% of the population. If you are pinning your hopes on whites dying of old age just to bring your party political power, it won't happen in your lifetime.

That's a very racist attitude btw.

The question of law was in response to you claiming GOP don't support law and order. Maybe you should refresh your memory about what you said.

This is true, and Democrats try to bypass white voters, which cost them 2016. But the GOP and Democrats need to appeal to everyone. Bashing white voters when they are the majority is not a good thing.

But the GOP should diversify. These GOP white pictures don't help.

Both parties have identity politics. Period.

The Democrats weaponize identity politics to win black and brown voters, because they are overly reliant on minority voters.

Maybe racist Democrats should step aside for our women, black and brown GOP candidates instead of targeting them for defeat because of their sex and race?

Black and brown GOP candidates are called "coons". It is sad, but this is how a lot of leftists, especially some black leftists view black and brown conservatives.
This leftwing culture began in the 1960s, but the GOP keeps on with the stupid white racist crap like Bannon, Spencer, Steve King.

These white guys are invited to the cookout, in the eyes of the Left.

Not white male christians over 65 who would support a racist like Trump, though. Which is what the Republican base is being reduced to.

Florida hasn't legalized recreational marijuana yet but it is on the ballot for 2020. The 'Emerald Triangle' in northern California is the largest producer of cannabis in the nation considered the premiere growing location. My understanding is that marijuana can not be sold outside individual state's boundaries. So the production in Florida [3rd largest] is for state consumption only. That will change in time but Republicans are generally opposed to legalization. Figures

And not all blacks support Democrats. Not all Hispanics support Democrats.

The thing is here, you, like the entire Democrat party, see people as this race or that race, not Americans. Identity politics. I think the real racists in this society are the Democrats who's first impulse is to judge people by their color.

What the heck is racist porn?

I'm a Republican. I don't give a **** about the color of someone's skin. We don't obsess over race everyday like Democrats. We have jobs and family and we like sports and outdoor activities. We aren't stuck on judging people by race all day long. It's an illness. It's racism. If this is your focus all day, you have problems.

Jake, it is hardly worth responding to Trumped-up Republicans who refuse to acknowledge that those Southern racists ['Dixiecrats'] who hate Lincoln were enticed into the GOP [Nixon's 'Southern Strategy']. It is pure ignorance/ manipulation by these posters since they know better but chose to perpetuate lies like their dear leader.

You realize that the vast majority of those folks you call out and hate are mostly all dead... right? Oh, and for the record, just because you repeat the lie doesn't actually ever make it truth...

Senator Diane Feinstein will be 90 yrs old when this term ends but right behind her is Charles Grassley. Texas congressman, Sam Johnson is 88. Both parties have 'long in the tooth' lawmakers.
