Thank you. I'm hardly the antidote for Trumpery, but I do my modest part to expose the truth as a patriotic public service.

Of course, acknowledging your "Orange Man"'s execrable record concerning the pandemic has some of his blind faithful sniveling mightily, but they'll just have to face reality. I never expected to have Howard Stern, of all people, sharing the mission.

Meanwhile. Private Bonespurs went from scoffing at the threat to suddenly declaring himself a wartime president.

He's already talking about waving his white flag on Easter, as medical experts try heartily to bolster his resolve.

    Sad. So sad.

You are calling the raw case total within a country, taken over time from the point at which each country first hit 1000 cases, as nonsense. It is not. Those are relevant to determine the pace at which cases are developing in a given region.

Now, you might be able to justifiably argue that the US is able to handle the amount of cases because it has a larger population and thus, it's cases per millions of people is lower.

But you can not argue against the concept that the US seeing the most new cases of any country in the world means that the US is the new epicenter of the virus.

60% approval rating of his handling of this by Gallup Poll right now in the midst of fear mongering by the media and uncertainty by most.

Imagine what it will be as this clears out and people feel a natural relief and sense of optimism.

    Then comes November.

Well we only have 19,999,860 positives cases to go per the liberals on this board. 20 million was your number, we won't forget.

I discount the experts 50% when they are on the same stage as Trump.

trump asking SK to help, well i guess he never had decent relationship with China, so can't ask them for mask and other med supplies. Even though china is sending tens millions mask, docs and other med supplies to EU/Russia and other countries right now. All those F35 seem useless now.

Why do we keep blaming Trump when the inadequate response is that buffoon in NY? He has more than THREE times the cases of any other State. You'd have to add 2-3 States COMBINED, to get to where NY IS.

    A) Who do you suppose you are quoting?
    B) Check your math because there are now ~65K confirmed cases in the US, not 140.

I already did. The number of cases increased as testing increased. The chart suggests to me that the U.S. had a greater growth in testing than the other countries. We have no idea how many cases there are. We only know how many were confirmed by testing.

Also the situation in each country is different. Even the raw confirmed cases aren't necessarily correct. As an example, a week or so ago, the news was reporting that Italy had a 9% death rate. The Italians were confused because there is nothing in their nationality that would cause this. The reason turned out to be that the denominator in the calculation was based on tests that were administered only to old, sick people. The 9% was somewhere between average and below average if the Italian government had tested younger people. We aren't talking about the death rate in this thread but it shows how the statistics can be driven by hysteria.

WHO and the rest of the UN is inimical to the U.S. As a result I put less value on its statistics than you do.

Let me know when you have something to back that up. Here's my list of Trump **** ups (with sources).

Trump and his political appointees repeatedly lied about the virus: 1 and 2.
They repeatedly downplayed the threat of the virus: 1 and 2.
They repeatedly touted the benefits of the virus: 1 and 2.
They repeatedly contradicted health experts: 1 and 2.
They repeatedly placed the lives of Americans at greater health risk: 1 and 2.
They repeatedly slowed the start of testing because of ineptitude and political self-interest: 1 and 2.
They dismantled the epidemic response team, attempted to cut health budgets, and dismissed the expert on Chinese Viruses: 1, 2 and 3.
They repeatedly politicized the virus: 1, 2 and 3.

Considering that John Hopkins has recently admitted that compared to the rest of the world the United States was very much prepared and is coping with events as best as can be expected this OP is a nonstarter.

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/us...WzpQVSh7It1VZbWccMHuJwHz3MtsOO6dGXqWtuXkwdPvY

To make it hyper-ironic in nature, however, this OP comes from a poster who's government was initially going to go with the absolutely brutal Herd Immunity scenario . . . thus needlessly infecting many thousand of more citizens right up front than would have occurred had they followed the United States lead of requiring self-isolation and social distancing. Irony so thick one could slice it with a knife. Ummmmm . . . tasty irony!

It is clear that there is no response that Trump could give to any topic that would make you happy so, just one question,
Natty, it is painfully obvious you hate your president so why do you spend one second of your day listening to, reading about, or posting?
I would think there are more productive things to do like getting groceries for your neighbors. I live in a very mixed neighborhood both economic and racial and we are through local social media apps, offering help and solutions for those in need.
It doesn't matter who the president is if you need eggs and someone else will go to the store and drop them off. Try it, it is very therapeutic and rewarding.

    The US was better prepared.

And then the US met the reality of the real world that is a pandemic under Trump's leadership.

Trump would do himself (and his re-election campaign) a huge favor by being well prepared for these press conferences. Unlike his rallies where he can just spout anything he wants without proof, people are watching to hear/learn important information. Sadly, he's not doing that. He spouts inaccuracies and uses generalities. You could have a quarantine drinking game using the words 'many', 'tremendous', 'terrific', 'great', 'greatest', 'best'. Feel free to add in more.

Fake Don is succeeding in making the Trumped U.S. the epicenter of the world for COVID-19 according to the World Health Organization, while South Korea, that had its first case diagnosed on the same day, showed efficient, capable and competent leadership that did not minimize, misstate, or misinform, and achieved far, far superior results, giving rise to the slogan,

Your romantic infatuation with Trump is apparent. My providing you with factual, documented data will not prevent you from being so thoroughly smitten.

After the horrors of WWII were fully revealed, those in proximity to human deprivations were asked why they had ignored what had been happening or failed to address it.

I have no need to pat myself on the back concerning my being neighborly. I do it without needing to proclaim it.

Any "advantage" that the USA had for being "well-prepared" was LOST with Trump's IMBECILIC Mishandling of the Crisis (from the beginning).

^That FACT is Universally Accepted and Beyond Dispute.:flagus:

If that is the case why is his approval rating with Americans so high on how he is handling this?

I do not think you know the meaning of universal....

And where oh where is you boy Biden? Talk about dropping off the national stage....he had little chance of beating Trump to start with, now....even less.
