I gave you that in the freaking link, kreo. There nothing political about the science behind wearing a mask to prevent new infections and slow the spread of the virus.

You can lead a horse to water . . .

That link is only about opinions, not real research has been done.
The opinion is based on the theory that virus will be spread around when infected person is coughing and sneezing and mask somehow might protect bystanders.
But research does not say anything about dirty masks.

    Moonbattery?

Trump cries "fake news!" when reporters quote his own words. The phrase has long outlived any meaning it may have originally had.

And of course the only reason people believe that nonsense is because they drank the proverbial grape kool-aid.

    Totally brainwashed Marxist zombie sheeple.

Interviewed on Fox, Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan said that managing the coronavirus is the most important issue for the economy now.

“The primary economic policy from here is broad mask-wearing and good education of the health-care protocols.”

“If we all wore a mask, it would substantially mute the transmission of this disease and we would grow faster,” he added. “We would have a lower unemployment rate ... and we would be less likely to slow more of our reopenings.”

Here's a person who is seriously vested in the interests of the economy and he isn't downplaying the virus. Handle it first, and we can re open sooner.

We can open when the virus disappears like magic or the Democrats take over to deal with the logistics of reopening safely. We know Republicans have no interest or ability to accomplish this.

We would be able to reopen much faster if we looked at data that matters. COVID is not as lethal as it is being advertised. I feel I repeat myself on the forum but people need to be educated on the fact 1.5 million Americans have recovered, compared to a death count of less than 300,000. Should the recoveries continue to outpace the amount of deaths, that will build for a case to reopen. Keeping stores and schools closed until we have a vaccine isn't a feasible idea/

That puts a little too much faith in masks, don't you think?

    Spring 2022 (at the earliest).

But, things will NEVER "be the same".

At that rate, no. Eventually, we will suffer enough that we will realize that we can't reopen without beating the virus first. This will require a national face mask mandate. We will also see a lot more face shields in public. We can mandate that private industry produce massive numbers of N95 face masks, hand sanitizer, gloves, and tests. Testing millions of people every day will allow us to better track where the virus is popping up and preventing spread. Airports and border crossings will need to be closed for good.

If an area sees a rise in cases, it can be locked down until cases decline. We can also use more technology to track the virus like voluntary use of thermometers that send your temperature to a national database, and a tracker on your phone that records who you have been in contact with. Restaurants are realistically a thing of the past for now, and we should switch to delivery and controlling delivery fees of delivery apps. If we get the number of cases in an area/county to basically zero and we have a lot of testing and tracking, we can completely open up even restaurants.

There is also a lot of work on vaccines. Its going to be very difficult to produce an effective vaccine so I'm not sure it will work, but there are some promising signs.

That's the question isn't it? So you think properly "educated" people would go back to normal with say 4,000 dead a day?

I figure as long as the recoveries stay far ahead of the deaths as they have this far, its unlikely we will see 4,000 die in one day.

In an ideal world, the number would be 0. But the world is neither ideal nor close to it. 2,500 would be my number.

Nobody is controlling you. I suggest you try a Trump rally followed by a bar with a youngish crowd. :)

Really? Being told I can't go to work because the company was forced to close is not controlling?
