Well apply for unemployment and make believe it's a long vacation.

I washed and dried a blue paper type mask other day by accident , it actually came out in good shape. I was surprised.

I've been keeping mine all week, but I probably only wear it 15 minutes a day, the vast majority if the time im alone or with just the wife.

I thought I'd miss people. Suprising that I don't, not one bit.

 

I want to see what near 100% mask and social distancing participation looks like. There is a reason why the US leads the world in infections and deaths and I think its largely due to our nature to fold politics into every aspect of live and the subsequent belligerent stances we take such as refusing to wear masks and/or enact mask mandates.

 

Are you saying that "the left" invented and released this virus in order to control us? Seriously?

What a stupid question. Of course not. Using it to control us, absolutely.

 

The Democrats are not using the virus, they are simply backing the science, and trying to do what the experts keep telling us we must do in order to get the virus under control. Pretty much the opposite of the Republicans, who mostly follow Trump's lead on when to reopen, when to go back to what used to be normal, all in the name of money and his reelection chances.

Are you sure you want to argue this pandemic as an ideological issue, with drastic spikes in virus hospitalizations in those predominately red states that reopened in May?

 

Yeah, we all need to stay home unless you're a democrat mayor and need a hair cut. The small businesses had to shut down but the big box stores stayed open.
You say you are just listening to the experts. Well so did Trump and he endorsed the original lockdown which put the brakes on the economy, Then you blame Trump for ruining the economy so yeah you guys are using it as a partisan issue.

 

We are not blaming Trump so much for the lock down as for how badly he screwed it up.

Trump did what the "experts" told him to do.

 

Everybody KNOWS that Trump's FAILURE to act (in the early part of the Covid Crisis) will end up costing Hundreds of Thousands of Lives.

Trump completely WASTED the Month of February.

Any sort of Real "LEADER" would have started the Lockdown in February (regardless of the "Experts").

That is the problem when a country elects a Buffoonish, Clueless, Amateur--Who has no idea how to handle a Real Crisis.

America has paid dearly for the Unfathomable Mistake of Trump's Election.

Thankfully, he WILL be gone in January of 2021.

America just has to hope that Looney Toon (Trump) doesn't try to start WW3 during the Lame Duck Period.

Trump is also (obviously) responsible for the current surge in new cases

The way that he championed (and forced the issue of) an early reopening (that backfired miserably).

And, now Trump is trying to force an unwise reopening onto the schools in the Fall.

Trump = An UNPREPARED CLUELESS IMBECILE (Who Never Should Have Been Elected in the First Place).

As far as "will we ever reopen"?

As far as "Back to Normal" (In the sense of "Pre-Virus)? No earlier than 2022.

Everybody should expect to be in some degree of mask-wearing (and social distancing) a year from now.

There is nothing. No president would have done anything different. Everything Trump did was wrong in democrat eyes. When this this thing first hit us your biggest concern was what to call it because you didn't want to upset the Chinese. If you had any clue as to what Federalism is you would understand why A president can't simply fix all problems. But then again you guys demand he do more and then when he does you complain that he is a dictator.

 

You're nitpicking. Aside from a few errant mistakes by a few Democratic politicians, liberals are backing the actual science. Just look at what's happening now: the highest ever numbers of hospitalizations, directly resulting from Republican policies of reopening all at once with not mandates for masks or distancing. (Plus the protests, where most wore masks but still crowded in together.)

The experts told us what would happen, they've been proven to be right about what would happen, and still the right keeps clamoring about reopening and getting back to "normal" regardless of the cost in lives, and they continue to whine about having the right to refuse to wear a mask.

If you really want to beat this virus and get the economy growing again, do what the science tells us: stay home when you can, and wear a mask when you can't. That worked in every other civilized country on the planet, and a few third world nations as well.

And if you still doubt that wearing masks is effective, ask any front line doctor or nurse.
