Divorse rates are a result of both sexes choosing mates for the wrong reasons and finding out the hard way that the long game of partnership isnt what they thought it was. We are a society full of piss poor role models. More then men, women have a biological calling to reproduce. They don't age as gracefully as men do and their sense of worth and ego is typically inflated when they are younger and it's a hard crash of reality when they age out of their prime looks wise. It's not a wonder that deep down women are miserable.

There are plenty of women who relish ageing as the first time in their lives they're actually free from competition .. and free from the unwanted attention the competition arena brings. I'm one of them, and I know many who feel the same way. We aren't seeking validation from those younger than us, nor from random strangers, nor the world at large. We have more than enough validation from those around us .. those who don't care how many wrinkles we have. 3) It's only a certain kind of women, remember.

What "them" do you think we're talking about? I think you misunderstand what I've been talking about. I have simply been defining what the far left is vs moderate left, because conservatives here often treat them as the same when they're not. Of course socialism expects people to work hard (from each according to their ability). One reason it doesn't work well (in pure form) is if you get what you need and can't get extra what's the point of working harder? Overcoming that requires a very strong cultural basis that just usually isn't there let alone be maintained and stable. The other reason is that the people in power get corrupted and do take extra.
This assumes those whom you refer to as the left, have no ambition to improve society and community as a whole. The left is just as interested in competition and improvement than anyone else. But not at the expense of individual poverty or opportunity.
I made life very easy for my wife. I made all of the money and I let her spend it. She only worked part time when she was bored. I took her out often and I even did some housework. That wasn't enough. After 29 years, I found out she had been having multiple affairs. I freed her from me being a burden on her. I gave her 1/2 of everything I owned last year. She can date whoever she wants. Her boyfriends dumped her. She has her first full-time job ever and lives in a dump. She did her own taxes for the first time ever this year. She is eager for me to take her back, but that won't happen. Being married was infringing her women's rights. I set her free to pursue her desires. I'm glad Texas has "at fault " divorce. I miss being happily married, but not living paycheck to paycheck is pretty nice. I can't say I'll never get married again, but I doubt it will ever happen. Men may be the same way but women don't want to be in a traditional marriage. I have too many friends with similar experiences.

any corp that use excessive foreign outsourcing, uses planned obsolescence like non-replacable batteries, artificial supply issues (Big Oil), etc.... and I do not know how the corporations vote, they usually donate to both parties, it helps them to keep being greedy I do not think either party is addressing this, that is the point Republicans just took control of the House, do you think they will address it?
