I didn't say Milley was fired by Trump I have said he should be fired NOW. If you disagree why? And Flynn was visited by the FBI about his conversation, was Milley? The left was in an uproar about Flynn and demanded a transcript of the call be released. His Milley released a transcript.

In the case of the communications, neither general had any business going behind the POTUS/CinC's back and contacting foreign officials, and in Milley's case (allegedly), we're talking about contacting officials in the government of a hostile power.

 

Flynn lied to the vp about his call to a nation who was interfering in our election. Then lied to the fbi. What did milley do?

 

I think our press was more honest at that time than now. The reports I recall for several reasons. I carried newspapers for a few years. I lost an uncle in Korea to the communists. I was alert to what was happening then. Since then I have seen videos a few times to refresh my memory.

Truman should have simply put a stop to what China was doing in Korea. But he fired a storied General in haste as I see it.

 

Milley did the right thing and disobeyed no Presidential order. If you think he should have kept quiet and not reassured the Chinese there was no change in U.S. policy toward them, you are wrong.

Don't think so. I think China is classified as a "potential hostile power." Seems the Republican Party continues to downplay the significance of January 6th...pay no attention to the elephant inn the room.

He got the group who has to work the authorizations to swear to him that they would only follow his orders on the subject. Which is not how it works. If the president needs to be relieved of command because he's crazy, there is a process for that and its not instituted by the military in our country for a very good reason. Breaching that violates his oath. It also violates federal law as seditious conspiracy.
How it would work before its invoked is, it hasn't been invoked and so cannot function. How it would work is, you give an unlawful order I can at that point disobey it and tell you so.

 

Milley as the adviser had no right to go to China to tell them Trump was lousy and was about to go to war.

Have you noticed despite the ability to video almost everything going on now, that they have no video showing riots on jan 6?
Some claim breaking windows is a riot. It is destroying Govt. Property but not a riot.
Even some guy spraying some kind of spray is not a riot. It is a man spraying a spray from a can.

 

The FBI hasn't said that. In fact, one of the oath keeper leaders just pleaded guilty to seditious conspiracy. More to follow.

The D.C. police declared it a riot before the break-in. And, there is plenty of video of it...you just discredited yourself.

Bottom line, Milley had no grounds and authority to act as Woodward and Costa claim he did, and IF he did, he usurped civilian authority, broke Chain of Command, and violated both the sacrosanct principle of civilian control over the military and his oath to support and defend the Constitution. The only thing that's debatable here is whether or not Woodward and Costa are telling the truth.
