The DNC in collusion with CNN, MSNBC, the WaPo and the New York Times decides who will win the Democratic party nomination.

People go to the polls expecting that their vote has meaning. Yet Tom's position is that people are misinformed to believe that's the process. They're supposed to know that the DNC reserves the right to circumvent what the people want and crown the Democratic candidate of their liking.

This kind of thinking is just another extension of leftist/progressive thinking. The ruling elite make the decisions and determines what's right for the flock. It's scary, and I'm still amazed that such a large number of people in our country allow themselves to be controlled like this.

I would like the Russian take over. Then conservatives can see what a real totalitarian government is. And they can get together with liberals to fight them..

Sure james. But do not call me a Democrat. Understand?

I believe this deal done by Trump will lead us out of any recession chance plus restore fiscal sanity and we will end up with a surplus. Why? Business is elevated and will kick in billions of dollars now that Trump partially freed them. I recall how well this worked when Clinton was president.

For the record Lesh I'm not sorry one bit Bernie lost. He's a hack, POS socialist that no one in their right mind would elect. The Democrats are so fractured and lost though it might happen one day. How you folks nominated that bitch Clinton is still beyond me. Why can't you pick someone with some decency and without larceny? Why do you guys picks losers with no values and no hopes? I fully understand how Obama won against Hillary. The bar was set so low that it was easy pickings to elect a hipster jive and shucker charleton. Don't whine and complain about Trump, he was mainstream America's hope and change candidate this time around. You can thank Obama for that. Otherwise you would have ended up with a RINO like Rubio, neutered Jeb!!, or the feckless cuck Kasich. Are you not entertained? Clinton wasn't going to win. She's a washed up POS hack. At least Trump will attempt to carry out his campaign promises.

Well Trump has been spending money like he's going bankrupt again.

After reducing the receivables by giving the wealthy a Huge discount,
he then blows the budget out of the water when the economy has been in Full swing for 7 years.

While President Obama did increase the Debt getting America out of the Great Recession... Trump is used to borrowing money that he doesn't intend to pay back.

The colossal budget measure passed both the Senate and House on the morning of February 9, ending a several-hour federal government shutdown that started at 12:01 AM. While Trump and Congressional leaders congratulate themselves for reaching common ground and keeping the government funded, their bill’s real legacy will be hurrying the issue of unsustainable deficits from the wing to center stage. It ensures that two milestones, bound to spook the public, arrive a lot sooner than expected. Deficits will probably reach $1 trillion in the current or next fiscal year, almost double what the Congressional Budget Office had projected less than a year ago for 2018. And U.S. debt is now on track to reach $30 trillion over the next decade. That’s over 100% of projected GDP, well into the danger zone where investors demand higher rates to buy government debt. And if rates do rise substantially, the U.S. will rival the likes of Italy as one of the world’s most debt-ravaged nations.

    Quite obvious.

Our successful ( he says ) Leader. Lowers Taxes ( Receivables ) then spends ( Payable's ) pushing the Debt ( familiar bankruptcy territory) for Trump

No, it has a different variation of the same thing.

Each state sends three members of the RNC to the convention. These delagegates are party officials who have votes on the nomination but are NOT selected by voters in the primary. There are also at large delegates that are porportioned according to whether the state has a GOP governor or legislator. The intent is to inflate the voting power of Republican led states.

Most states are winner take all. So the delegate votes at the convention DO NOT reflect the way the public voted.

This is how Donald Trump became the nominee, via winner take all primaries. At not time, before he secured the nominee did he ever, EVEN ONCE, recieve 51% of the vote in any election. He still has not.

And yet, he got 100% of the delegates in state after state, where he only got 40-45% of the votes.

Also, RNC rules insure that candidates who did not win at least eight primaries cannot be nominated at the convention, even though they may have recieved millions of votes in the primaries.

If you want to debate this any further, try finding out what you're talking about first.

Donald Trump became the GOP candidate because the rules were written to drive the candidate with a plurality toward the nomination.

The GOP primary process was not a democratic process any more than the Democratic one. The votes cast at that Convention do NOT reflect the way rank and file Republicans voted.

This thread is yet another example of what I'm talking about. America died a year ago last November.

There is no reason to pretend we have a country anymore. End the madness and disband the US. At the least, eliminate the Presidency and most of the Federal Government. Allow States to form their own alliances and unite.

I would rather see his happen peacefully than wait for the civil war. It's going to be one or the other.

The red states have hated us west coasters for as long as I can remember. I didn't hate them but they sure hated us.

Well, you win. I hate you too now. A lot of us do. Just the other night, without any prompting from me, without knowing my opinion about this, my gf said she doesn't feel the same about the country anymore. She doesn't believe in the US anymore either. I would bet a majority of us feel that way out here.

The votes cast at the convention were the results representing state elections.Trump won enough states (and votes) to win the nomination. What was the magic number? 1257? I can't remember. What the RNC did NOT do is pad Trump's votes with mythical fatcat super delegates.. That's what Democrats do. Every 4 years. :deadhorse: It did not rig the nomination like the DNC.

The right have known that for some time. We've kept our heads down and went about our lives (sadly). Only now that the damage has reached a critical mass, has the right begun to mount a serious defense.

I believe that we are staging a last gasp battle - too little, too late. I think that you have no cause for alarm. We, on the right, are getting old and dying off. You will soon be able to resume your march toward your imagined Global Socialist Utopia.
