Vagrants migrate to sunny, warm weather climates. They don't care if it's a red or blue state, it's what they do.

Mark Dice is hilarious. He had these idiots thinking that Jesse Ventura and John Wilkes Booth were founding fathers and we won our independence from China.

I would be fine with it. I don't think the West coast states would be any happier...they would still have tantrums and want to control the values and laws of its neighboring....countries.

Really...we already have separation with State rights.....how does seceding make states happier?

And still needs billions in government funding to stay alive

Which has nothing to do with what I posted

Just read up a little about what people consider "Deep South".

The point: There are places in US where I choose to stay away from and they are in the area what I (not you) consider "Deep South". Get it?

The population and the issues where I live are very different than in what I (and pretty much everyone else) consider "Deep South".

    Why bicker over nothing?

I don't care what you consider deep South the fact of the matter is you live in South Florida and it's hard to get much more Southern United States than that, unless you head down to key West.

Seems like you would be much more happy somewhere in New England or California

In geographical terms, yes, but that's not what I am saying. You are not meant to understand the difference. Bless your heart & have a nice day.

Too cold for me, but much of the population here are in fact from New England, New York etc, and tons of Latinos of course, and Canadian and European seasonal snowbirds of course. Very different from the "Deep South" in the Bible Belt (another term you are surely not familiar with) like Alabama.

@Pro_Line_FL is making a fair point. The term "Deep South" does not refer to the farthest Southern locations. Here is the definition from wiki:

Also if you want to nic pic, "deep" is a reference to elevation that is independent of compass direction. A lot of people think of south as down but it isn't. That is why rivers also flow north or in any compass direction. So if you were striving for literal accuracy you would be referring to the point in the "south" with the "deepest" hole.

I don't really care what wiki has to say or that anyone wants to parse words.

The point is people come from other areas and move to the South and then come here and tell us how great it was there when life is short and they can take their ass right back wherever there is.

This seems to be a totally unrelated issue. I have never visited the south other than Florida so I cannot speak to what you are saying.

He is offended because he thinks Florida is included in "Deep South" and because I said I would not want to live in "Deep South". The truth is that I have lived in SE Florida a long time and its nothing like the "Deep South".

"The term was first used to describe the states most dependent on plantations and slavery during the early period of United States history. The region suffered economic hardship after the American Civil War and was a major site of racial tension during and after the Reconstruction era."

That describes Florida and the rest of the Deep South.

Florida is part of the "Deep South": "The term was first used to describe the states most dependent on plantations and slavery during the early period of United States history. You keep pretending not to understand the fact that you are in the geographical South I don't care what distinction you wish to draw in little pieces of it.

I just get tired of seeing arrogant people move to the South and complain about it.

I specifically said you are talking in geographical terms and I am not.

I suppose I'd be frustrated too if I couldn't understand what people say.

Your habit of playing dumb does not reflect well on you (or anyone)

I would say what you're playing but in your case it's not actually playing it's genuine....

But thanks for displaying the typical arrogance I spoke of

Stating a fact is not arrogance. I am not the only one who has tried to explain it to you, but you're still not getting it. Vast majority of people in this country knows what "Deep South" means, and if there is anything the folks in the "Deep South" and South Florida can agree on, is the fact that South Florida is NOT considered "Deep South". And no, the gay capital aka Key West is certainly NOT "Deep South" either.

No one but me is responsible for my happiness. I live in Los Angeles and I do see the damage they cause firsthand. It would be nice if they started using turn signals!

I live in Florida and people don't use turn signals here either, so I think you'd be miserable everywhere and blame 'Democrats' for everything you don't like.

It takes a particularly special breed of arrogance for someone who is not even from the South but carpet bagged their way here to try to lecture those who are actually from here on what really constitutes the deep South....

Then the same people like to tell us what we're doing wrong and how great it was were they came from....

The same interstate that bought you South can still take you North..... And you can get up there somewhere north of Georgia and head West if that's where you're from too.

I think its time you quit whining, because you have been crying about this for 2 straight days and its getting tiresome. No one is lecturing you, so quit playing a freaking victim at every turn. You put your ignorance on display, and that is your problem, not mine.

I said I would not live in "Deep South" like Alabama, Louisiana or Georgia. If that offends your delicate feelings, then I have a very simple message for you: Suck it up buttercup.

Who is telling such mean and awful things? Tell me and I'll tell them to stop right away. Your feelings must be protected at all costs.
