Not good enough. If you're going to participate in a discussion, you respond in context.

    Correction, you don't.

I don't know what "lots" and "high counts" is. To be the "most lethal threat" all they need is to have more than any other group.

Because it's based on an assumption that I debunked.

    Well said!

I called it "an adjective" on another thread.

My research is intended to form my opinions. Not to bolster them. All my opinions are based on research, and I show the product of my research. Whether that bolsters my opinions or not depends on your own research. If you don't do any, then mine won't help you much.

That's how most people actually operate, the internet has a tendency to paint extremism as a social norm when in reality it isn't. I've read countless posts on places like Reddit where folks are talking about how they thoroughly investigate businesses before frequenting the establishment. That really is rare, most folks don't care enough to do that.

Here's how I determine whether or not I will eat somewhere.
    1. Does it have what I want to eat
    2. Does it cost what I want to pay
    3. Is it good

Somewhere around number 793 is where their "business practices" or "ideology of the owners" comes in to play. There's a place in town that serves the best fish tacos I've ever had in my life. Those folks could walk up and hand me my food in Klan robes for all I care. I'm paying you to make me those delicious fish tacos that somehow only they know how to make that way. I don't give a damn what you think about social issues how the hell is that relevant to your ability to make me fish tacos?

But they are racists! You suggested that their business licences be yanked.

Could be. I haven't seen what these look like.

Not so. It has to pass a team of moderators. You can't just "say" it. There has to be some sort of verifiable information. Otherwise they can't verify it.

I think it's a great initiative by Yelp. The worst that could happen is that they overwhelm the moderators. They might need to tweak it so that doesn't happen. But the purpose is clear: stop the misinformation campaign by white supremacists.

I believe that, at some point, all social media, discussion groups, forums (including this one), etc... will need to adopt something like this (not this specifically, but something like it). Otherwise they risk being echo to really dangerous disinformation.

Remember that pizza place that was literally put out of business by SJWs? I do.

How many boycotts have the left called for when they don't get their way?

I can predict your opinions on any given topic before I read them. You needn't bother with research.

The White Supremacists are hiding in plain sight, in your very midst. They're no doubt behind this move, also.

No but I do expect facebook, youtube, twitter, etc to actively protect against the deliberate doxing of members of their websites. I watch a wide variety of stuff on youtube, I dont use twitter. I would have a problem if youtube decided to take it into their own hands and flag individual youtube channels with a racist logo based on anecdotal evidence and I would have a problem with Facebook doing the same with members of facebook as well.

My problem isn't with Yelp allowing consumer reviews, my problem is with Yelp themselves deciding to take action and deliberately flagging a business based on consumer reviews.

As I've said time and time and time again in regards to media, news, all this stuff. Let ME determine how I feel about something, stop telling me what something is or isn't. I don't want expert "analysis" of the news from a panel of people, I just want the raw facts of the news and Ill make up my own mind. I don't want Yelp to tell me a business is racist, I want to read the various consumer reviews and determine for myself if I feel the place is racist or not. I don't want Youtube flagging a video saying it's "racist", let me watch the video and determine whether or not it's racist.

Would members be ok if we did that sort of thing around here? Give that sort of authority to the Staff to tag each member as "something" based on the amount of reports they send or their posting style or something like that? I don't think anybody would appreciate that especially if you had no say so in the matter and the Staff made that determination based solely on what other members said about them.

How about instead of things like Yelp taking it upon themselves to flag businesses they simply allow open consumer reviews on their website that people can read at their leisure and make a determination about the business for themselves?

I'm not talking about "lunatics". I'm talking about white supremacist terrorist groups which, of course, are full of lunatics.

And all those women who were burned as such, because they owned a cat or knew a good headcold remedy?

How about the non-terrorist White Supremacists currently holding your puppet strings and making you dance?

How many victims does the designated "most lethal threat" claim in any given year? Like eleventy thousand maybe?

Surely the "most lethal threat in the Homeland" must claim more victims in any given year than the streets of Chicago kill on any given weekend, right?

We know all about the stupid, stupid "designation" tricks.

Your puny mind tricks don't work on us, Jedi.

This is the part where you slink away quietly, because your bluff has been called.
