Last weekend in Berkeley, Calif., a group of neo-communist Antifa — “anti-fascist” — thugs attacked peaceful protesters at a “No to Marxism in America” rally, wielding sticks and pepper spray, and beating people with homemade shields that read (I kid you not) “No Hate.” The Post reports how one peaceful protester “was attacked by five black-clad Antifa members, each windmilling kicks and punches into a man desperately trying to protect himself.” Members of the Berkeley College Republicans were then stalked by Antifa goons who followed them to a gas station and demanded they “get the [expletive] out” of their car, warning, “We are real hungry for supremacists and there is more of us.”
The organizer of the anti-Marxism protest is not a white supremacist. Amber Cummings is a self-described “transsexual female who embraces diversity” and had announced on Facebook that “any racist groups like the KKK [and] Neo Nazis . . . are not welcome.” The protest was needed, Cummings said, because “Berkeley is a ground zero for the Marxist Movement.”

Those on the left have responsibilities as well — responsibilities few are meeting. On Monday I asked the office of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for her statement of condemnation. To her credit, Pelosi issued a strong statement Tuesday, declaring, “The violent actions of people calling themselves antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation, and the perpetrators should be arrested and prosecuted. In California, as across all of our great nation, we have deep reverence for the Constitutional right to peaceful dissent and free speech. Non-violence is fundamental to that right.”
Good for her. So why haven’t more leading Democrats done the same? After Charlottesville, the media rightly demanded that President Trump and all Republicans condemn the neo-Nazis and the KKK. So where are the calls for Democrats to condemn antifa — and the brutal public condemnation for those who fail to do so? If black-clad neo-Nazis had attacked peaceful protesters at a “No to Racism in America” march in Berkeley, politicians in Washington would be falling over themselves to express their disgust — and any who failed to do so would be vilified. But when neo-communists commit this kind of violence, they get a pass from the left.
That cannot be allowed to stand.

The meme has gone out from the top of the Progressive Left that the Antifa movement aka Black Bloc, aka BAMN, is out of control, angering Americans who have been neutral up to this point, and is splintering the party. The leaders of the Progressive Marxist Democrat Left are panicking. It appears that PMDL's have lost control of their brown shirts. The dusk of the night of long knives for Antifa. The only defenders they will have left will be RINO "Never Trumpers".
If the "Antifa" ever came to political power, they would be filling up "re-education facilities"
(death camps) with their political opponents. No different than Khmer Rouge or Red Brigades in Maoist China.
So-called "Antifa" did not start in Germany. It started in Italy in the 1918-1920s. (Then spread to Germany, France, UK, etc.) In early 1900s-1920s, the same Italian Anarchists were primary Foreign Terrorist Organization that promoted Anarchist terrorist attacks across the U.S. The goal of the Anarchists, which later became led by Anarcho-Communists was never "Anti-Fascism" as we understand. They rejected fascism not because the Anarchists and Anarcho-Communists stood for human rights and democracy, but because THEY wanted control instead of letting the Fascists have control.
In the 1980s, a new "Antifa" was created by Anarcho-Communists in Germany with a red and black flag. In early 20th century, this was adopted, predominantly by Anarcho-Communists looking to expand beyond their Black Bloc tactics, and started being more publicly active around 2009. The idea that this is "new," is simply not correct. As always, the real objective of Anarcho-Communists is national insurrection, destruction of democracy. The "Antifa" campaign in the U.S. is simply an ends to that means, it could care less about anti-racism, and certainly does not care about human rights and democracy.

 

As far as I can see, Antifa is no different than the KKK the democrats invented------------except-------------now they are wearing black hoods. I guess the lazy left decided that white was too much WORK to keep clean.

 

Those with more than one brain cell knows that anti-fascism is the opposite of neo-nazism. When the U.S. fought Hitler and Mussolini in WWII we were all antifa. Now we are anti-commie, except for Trumpets.

 

I'd love to know at what point the OP thinks that the Democratic Party ever had control of "Antifa". If OP really thinks that, then the OP's understanding of "Black Bloc" politics is deeply flawed.

I see no panic in the Democratic Party concerning Antifa. I don't see a general attachment to the many and varied causes of "Antifa" as a whole.

But your continuous attempts to provide cover for the ACTUAL NAZIS - you know... the ones who dress, talk, walk, and shout like NAZIS - is noted.

 

You got that right. Our WWII soldiers would slap some of these fascist forum members upside the head, if they could see the daily defense of Nazis. And they deserve worse than that...
