I don't know about the El Paso shooter but in reading what was the history of the Dayton shooter it seems evident that none of his classmates from high school are surprised that he was the shooter they all knew he was a psychopath.They are saying the high school and local police had plenty of warnings of his sadistic nature and that he should have never been allowed to own guns.Everybody chose to ignore the very obvious signals this guy was sending to everyone.

 

You now reduced to accusing me of 'whataboutism' instead of saying whether you apply to same standard to AOC as you do to Trump? Note also, that I didn't just say "what about", but I first admitted that Trump's rhetoric is bad. Now can you do with same with AOC? I'll be surprised if you respond!

Actually unless there are laws like red flag laws there is nothing the police or other authorities can be do.

However, do you make a connection between AOC's rhetoric and the ICE bombing, between Bernie Sanders' rhetoric and the Congresional baseball shooting and Obama's rhetoric and the Dallas police shootings? The latter being particularly relevant given that Obama was also the President, so there can be no excuses here.

Your statement was that California gun laws did not prevent any mass shooting. The fact that there were some is irrelevent to the issue of if some were prevented. You still haven't proven that none were prevented. Or do you not understand the difference?

 

The fact that there were some is evidence California's gun laws do not work. This isn't rocket science.

 

To you obviously simple logic is rocket science. Your position that gun laws that don't prevent all mass shotings are not working is absurd. Guess by your logic nothing that isn't 100% effective is not working. Guess the entire legal and law enforcement system in the US isn't working since crimes still happen. No it doesn't. The fact that certain weapons are not legal for civilian ownership has already established the right under the second law to ban certain weapons from civilian possession.

 

When the second amendment was enacted guns fired one shot and took a minute or more to reload.Those who wrote that amendment had no idea of the kinds of weapons that would evolve.
