Haha, so you are cool with killing or imprisoning for life someone who gives away an assault weapon, but not with people owning them?? You sound like a wannabe draconic dictator who wants to control their people through death and imprisonment. I'd rather take my chances with armed lunatics thanks.

    My post is hyperbole.

But it's not inconceivable. It can easily be argued that, if I sell an illegal firearm to someone who then kills your child, I can be held accountable for the child's murder.

that's stupid. So if i sell a car to someone who then goes and runs people over, can I be held accountable for those deaths as well??? I don't see the difference. In both cases there are dead people.

No federal suggestion. No state suggestion.

Of course not. But the way to minimize gun violence is by going after the dealers and traffickers, because suicidal shooters have no incentive for following the law.

Are you talking about state law or federal law?

That is so dumb. I'd rather live in a dangerous society where I can defend myself and my family than one where the government can dictate what I do with my firearms and who can own them. I have zero interest in living in a place like that. Maybe you guys like depending on the government for protection in australia, but that is not how I would choose to live. I'd much rather live with freedom and more danger than be safe but lack the freedom to defend myself as I see fit.

George Orwell wrote an interesting essay about meaningless words.

Essentially their words that are so vague that they can be used to cognitively deceive other people. Words like socialist or capitalist or fascist.

These words are essentially dog whistles.
We'll start with fascist to because that's the easiest. Nobody really can define fascist what you said it means a trump supporter which has nothing to do with the type of government Mussolini ran.

So it's come to mean bad thing or bad guy. Socialist is rather loaded word and it typically means someone who believes in some sort of social justice in the act of equaling out the money people have.

Then you have capitalism some people say the system we live in in the United States has capitalistic other people say China is more capitalistic.

I would suggest that you try and describe your views a little better than socialist capitalist communist fascist, because those words all oppose one another depending on who you're talking to. and as much gibberish as both forwards combines to mean one thing sounds to you that's how your socialist capitalist nonsense sounds to me.

Tried to describe reviews you hope that make you think your capitalist and somehow socialist at the same time. That would be more useful in conversation.

Yet not punishing violent criminals is something Democrats excel at.

Grenades? No. Truck bombs? Yes. People who want to kill find ways to kill; firearms are not needed.

Firearms are not the problem. Every minute people like you waste arguing about firearms is a minute that you could spend trying to help the mentally ill.

So you'd prefer we move back to the stone age and bow to whoever is stronger, faster, and younger than have legitimate means to defend ourselves and our families? No thanks...
