Whether this email I received is true or not, we may never know. However, I happen to believe EVERY WORD. So decide for yourself whether you believe it as well.

    From the Secret Service
Very interesting snippets from Ronald Kessler's book about our presidents.

Here are snippets from a book of "Impressions & Observations" of Secret Service personnel assigned to guard U.S. Presidents/First Ladies, and Vice Presidents.

    JOHN & JACQUELINE KENNEDY
*A philanderer of the highest order. *
*She ordered the kitchen help to save all the left-over wine during State dinner, mixed with fresh wine and served again during the next White House occasion.*

    *LYNDON & LADYBIRD JOHNSON
*Another philanderer of the highest order. In addition, LBJ was as crude as the day is long. Both JFK and LBJ kept a lot of women in the White House for extramarital affairs, and both had set up "early warning systems" to alert them if/when their wives were nearby. Both Kennedy & Johnson were promiscuous and oversexed men. *
*She was either naive or just pretended to "not know" about her husband's many liaisons. *

    *RICHARD & PAT NIXON
*A "moral" man but very odd, weird, paranoid, etc. He had horrible relationship with his family, and in a way, was almost a recluse.*
*She was quiet most of the time.*

    *SPIRO AGNEW
    * Nice, decent man, everyone in the Secret Service was surprised about his downfall. *

    *GERALD & BETTY FORD
*A true gentlemen who treated the Secret Service with respect and dignity. He had a great sense of humor. *
    *She drank a lot!*

    *JIMMY & ROSALYN CARTER
*A complete phony who would portray one picture of himself to public and very different in private, e..g., would be shown carrying his own luggage, but the suit cases were always empty; he kept empty ones just for photo op's. Wanted the people to see him as pious and a non-drinker, but he and his family drank alcohol a lot. He had disdain for the Secret Service, and was very irresponsible with the "football" nuclear codes. He didn't think it was a big deal and would keep military aides at a great distance. Often did not acknowledge the presence of Secret Service personnel assigned to serve him.*
*She mostly did her own thing.*

    *RONALD & NANCY REAGAN
*The real deal --- moral, honest, respectful, and dignified. They treated Secret Service and everyone else with respect and honor. Thanked everyone all the time. He took the time to know everyone on a personal level. * One "favorite" story which has circulated among the Secret Service personnel was an incident early in his Presidency, when he came out of his room with a pistol tucked on his hip. The agent in charge asked: "Why the pistol, Mr. President" He replied, "In case you boys can't get the job done, I can help." It was common for him to carry a pistol. When he met with Gorbachev, he had a pistol in his briefcase. Upon learning that Gary Hart was caught with Donna Rice, Reagan said, "Boys will be boys, but boys will not be Presidents." [He obviously either did not know or forgot JFK's and LBJ's sexcapades!]*
*She was very nice but very protective of the President; and the Secret Service was often caught in the middle. She tried hard to control what the President ate, and he would say to the agent "Come on, you gotta help me out." The Reagan’s drank wine during State dinners and special occasions only; otherwise, they shunned alcohol; the Secret Service could count on one hand the times they were served wine during their "family dinner". For all the fake bluster of the Carters, the Reagan’s were the ones who lived life as genuinely moral people.*

    *GEORGE H. & BARBARA BUSH
*Extremely kind and considerate Always respectful. Took great care in making sure the agents' comforts were taken care of. They even brought them meals, etc. One time Barbara Bush brought warm clothes to agents standing outside at Kennebunkport; one agent was given a warm hat, and when he tried to nicely say "no thanks" even though he was obviously freezing, President Bush said "Son, don't argue with the First Lady, put the hat on." He was the most prompt of the Presidents. He ran the White House like a well-oiled machine.*
*She ruled the house and spoke her mind.*

    *BILL & HILLARY CLINTON
*Presidency was one giant party. Not trustworthy --- he was nice because he wanted everyone to like him, but to him life is just one big game and party. Everyone knows of his sexuality.*
*She is another phony. Her personality would change the instant cameras were near. She hated with open disdain the military and Secret Service. She was another one who felt people are there to serve her. She was always trying to keep tabs on Bill Clinton.*

    *ALBERT GORE
    * An egotistical ass, who was once overheard by his Secret Service detail lecturing his only son that he needed to do better in school or he "would end up like these guys" --- pointing to the agents.*

    *GEORGE W. & LAURA BUSH
*The Secret Service loved him and Laura Bush. He was also the most physically "in shape" who had a very strict workout regimen. The Bushes made sure their entire administrative and household staff understood to respect and be considerate of the Secret Service.
*She was one of the nicest First Ladies, if not the nicest; she never had any harsh word to say about anyone.*
*KARL ROVE was the one who was the most caring of the Secret Service in the administration.*

    *BARACK & MICHELLE OBAMA
*" Clinton all over again" - hates the military and looks down on the Secret Service. He is egotistical and cunning; looks you in the eye and appears to agree with you, but turns around and does the opposite---untrustworthy. He has temper tantrums.*
*She is a complete (*)(*)(*)(*)(*), who hates anybody who is not black; hates the military; and looks at the Secret Service as servants.*

A taxpayer voting for Obama is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders.

It squares with stories told by other sources over the years.

I used to work with the skipper of the PT boat who fished JFK out of the water. Even in the Pacific, JFK had a genuinely bad back and self-medicated to hold back the pain. Like most heavily medicated people, JFK could be slow on the uptake. The family viewed him as Plan B after Joe, Jr. blew himself up over Europe. Bobby was the brains. Teddy was a drunk.

That's interesting! I always liked Bobby better....I always felt he was overlooked by his family. JFK fit the "image" they were going for I think. Teddy? Hopeless idiot.

You are only half right. It's not an anonymous email as I know who sent it to me....also these snippets were published in a book.

Goes without saying that the SS members would be anonymous.

Now, do you care to respond to the context or not?

    From Ronald Kessler's book:

    • In contrast to John McCain, Barack Obama—codenamed Renegade—and Michelle Obama—codenamed Renaissance—treat agents with consideration and respect. Contrary to Obama’s repeated claims that he is giving up smoking, he has continued to smoke regularly.

Since Barack Obama took office, threats against the president have been up as much as 400 percent from about 3,000 threats a year against President Bush

Not single one of those quotes appear in Ronald Kessler's book "In the President's Secret Service:

Of course you believe the email.

Oh it gets even better and better.

One of the things I like about the Obama haters is that they just assume we are all too lazy to use Google. Or Factcheck. Or Amazon.

    http://www.factcheck.org/2011/06/secret-service-tattletales/

The truth is the message makes grossly false and misleading claims about what is contained in the book. "In the President's Secret Service" was written by Ronald Kessler, a former Washington Post reporter who is now chief Washington correspondent for the conservative news site Newsmax. When we contacted Kessler, he told us:

Author Ronald Kessler: [A]bout a third of the items are wrong and not in the book. In addition, the summaries of Obama, Agnew, and Bill Clinton are completely wrong, Contrary to the email, the book actually says Obama treats the Secret Service with respect and appreciates what the agents do. It does not say he hates the military.
Furthermore, the book is not the one-sided partisan attack that the e-mail describes. As Kessler says:

Kessler: The book is totally non-partisan and skewers Democrats–JFK, LBJ, Carter, Gary Hart,– and Republicans–Nixon, Jenna Bush, Barbara Bush, Dick Cheney's daughter Mary, Agnew, Ford, and Bush's treasury secretary John Snow–alike.

Now you will probably claim that you can't trust Factcheck- right?

So maybe listening to Ronald Kessler say it himself on Jon Stewart would help? Well probably not....

    http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-august-3-2009/ronald-kessler

Where Ronald Kessler says that the Obama's are very respectful of the Secret Service?

Now that you have heard the truth......does this change your opinion about Obama?

    Of course not.....

I said I knew who sent me the email...therefore not anonymous to me. The book is:

'In the President's Secret Service: Behind the Scenes with Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect' , by Ronald Kessler

As I stated. I do not know if they are true or not...yet I happen to believe based on what I know, and how I've felt myself about our past presidents, that it seems real to me and I believe every word.

Now, this thread is an "opinion" if you don't like my "opinion"....so what.

And what I love about Obama lovers is that they insist on quoting "FACTCHECK.ORG" which is run by this administration....and "THE DAILY SHOW" which is almost as ridiculous.

Now, I happen to believe this was said, or is at least true about the character of these past presidents...and as I have ALSO SAID...it is MY OPINION. Do you even understand what that means? You must because you clearly must watch THE DAILY SHOW, right? Did you think that everything he says is fact and not opinion? LOLOLOL. Go away.

JEFF....just thought you might like to hear a response to the snippets on another website:

I had the priviliege to work many Presidential and VP security missions in the service. I can vouch for the Bush 1, Clinton and Bush 2 comments. One agent told me that GW was very business like and punctual, and demanded everyone go home to their families at the end of the day, around 5 or earlier. He said Laura wouldn't say "(*)(*)(*)(*)" if her mouth was full of it. Extremely nice lady, the daughters were very well mannered and gracious.

Another agent who worked with Clinton said he was a narcissitic, pompous, ass, but really worked his charm and wanted everone to love him. This agent was 6', 5" and said Clinton was intimidated by his height and would eye (*)(*)(*)(*) him and invade his personal space to let him know Billy was Boss. Also said that Clinton got a full cup of coffee every morning, all the way to the brim of his large paper cup. Billy hated plastic touching his coffee, said it made the coffee taste funny, so he'd never put a top on it. When he'd get in the limo it never failed that he'd spill his piping hot coffee and begin swearing at the driver. The agents made a point of it to tap the brakes or take a turn a little hard, always enjoying eharing the expletive spewing forth from the back.

Clinton also had no cumpunction about calling a staffer out of the blue at 3 in the morning to ask a stupid policy question, would work them all day and night, and not even tell them "Thanks" for working so hard. Very phony guy.

Same agent said Hilary swore like a sailor and hated any military in the Whitehouse. She treated the Marine gaurds like (*)(*)(*)(*) all the time. She'd haul off and smack the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of Billy all the time.

Another agent said working for GW confirmed that the man was genuine, thoughtful, and very down to earth. GW knew all the agents names, families, etc. They said taking a bullet for that man would
've been an honor. Also said Dick and Lynne Cheney were very nice and gracious folks, a bit distant, but very nice.

Pretty cool, huh? Guess what? I believe this a well....::nana:

How do I say this politely?

    Are you learning impaired?

You posted an email claiming to be by Ronald Kessler.

I then point out that this was a complete lie- by doing what any rational person would do:
    a) I searched for Ronald Kessler and found his website- which says that the Obama's were very polite to the Secret Service- you too can do this- go to Google and type in Ronald Kessler and Secret Service- its easy to find.
    b) I went to Amazon and I seached inside the book and didn't find any of the quotes- the quotes are not in the book your lying pal claimed it was in- how can I be any clearer? c) I searched on Google and I found that Factcheck had quoted Ronald Kessler saying that the email was a lie.
    d) And then because I knew you would whine about Factcheck- I provided the interview with Ronald Kessler himself saying that the Obama's were very polite. The words come out of his mouth through the internet to you. Your buddy lied to you.

Meanwhile you would prefer to believe an email sent to you by your lying pal. Over the supposed author actually saying otherwise.

There is no help for you. I can lead a horse to water, but I cannot force the water down its throat.

Well I guess one thing is clear...the only thing you wanted to know was if the Obama thing was correct.

    "my lying pal" haha.

Well I too found a website that states the Obama thing is not true but the rest is....do you care? Probably not. This thread was about all presidents not just Obama. And what these quotes say to me is that a general consensus seems to be that Republican presidents are moral beings, while Democrats are not. Which has ALWAYS been my OPINION.

You can check out the link if you'd like.
    http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/s/secret-service-presidents.htm

Here's "my opinion" again. If a couple SS guys say Obama was ok, there may be 10 that say he wasn't. And same goes with the rest of the presidents, this is quite possible. BUT, THERE AGAIN I DON'T CARE! This is an "opinion" thread. What do you not understand about the difference between "opinion" vs "fact"

My opinion of Obama is that he is an egotistical degenerate lying piece of dog doo. But hey, that's my "OPINION"

Now....I am beginning to understand why I had you on my ignore list. Your relentless nonsense is ludicris and bizarre.

I saw a reference to the supreme Jew Jon Stewart on this forum. For your edification, the Jon Stewart show will now be known as the Rush Stewart show to show his enlightenment with regard to his entry into political hack supremacy.

Oh look..............Squirrel. Isn't it amazing that most, if not every single bad thing that has been said/posted about Obama(here or anywhere else), has been complete and total nonsense to the third degree? Well done, well done!

This seems suspiciously partisan. I met a lady who worked as staff at the White House for her entire career and she said that the nicest president to the staff was Bill Clinton and that he would routinely hang out eating junk food in the kitchen with the people who worked there. I also met a Mormon man who worked at the Reagan White House who thought the world of Ronald Reagan.

I think with people its like anything else. You either have chemistry with them or you don't.

My guess is that most presidents and most first wives probably seem like exceptional people.
