This place hasn't gotten worse, per se, the climate changed for the worse. The hostility of the late Bush years is nothing compared to Trump's inauguration. The hyper-partisanship has removed the notion of discussion into nothing more than bickering, without any issue really being addressed...

Hey, kill all old people. Start it and when you get there, you won't be a burden to immigrants. You damn sure didn't have any kids to keep the economy going.

We had 16% mortgages under Carter. It took Reagan and Volker to get the rise stopped and get rates falling. It was painful to make payments on a house or car, and most people couldn't buy much house or much car.

In the 1980’s, I was in the mobile home finance business. We saw mortgage loans over 20% that were written in the late 70’s and early 80’s.

It happened once. It can happen again. If it does, we will default on the federal debt. No
more Social Security or other entitlements. The whole thing is down the toilet.

The US currency is based on debt. If you really cared you’d look and compare total currency in circulation to total debt.
If you pay off the debt you debase the currency.

Inflation eats away most of the debt. I’m not sure why some people are so anal about it.

Obamaed added 7 trillion to the debt in his entire presidency, and was condemned by Republicans.

Trump has added 5 trillion in just his first 3 years, and Republicans say nothing.

Pretty soon they'll be talking about real money.
