Yovanovitch gets standing ovation at the end of 5-hour hearing

Again so what ?? Orange man rude is the basis for impeachment ??

 

I would think that theatrics would have included things like sobbing, or shouting. Maybe some hand wrining and pearl clutching. But there was nothing like that. Ambassador Yovanovitch was calm and professional. The only theatrics that I noticed were from a few of the questioners, on both sides.

 

The three witnesses were all respected professional doing competent work for the State Department. None of them lambasted Trump because foreign service professionals do not represent the president, their loyalty is to the United States and our Constitution. That is their focus. What these three professionals described is their professional observations of political, economic, and corrupt activities historically and currently in Ukraine. As such, they had little to say about Trump but lots to say about Giuliani and the "three amigos."

As far was Trumps personal attacks on Yovanovitch it was simply an apt demonstration of hideous leadership. No real leader would ever engage in dressing down an employee in public, much less with a pack of opinionated lies. It was a great demonstration of what an incompetent chief executive Trump is. He wouldn't last a month in a corporation.

 

She added nothing to the dem clown show. Try and keep up.

The treatment of Ambassador Vonanovitch by the Democratic party was sexist and dripping with misogyny. Why did Schiff read the Trump tweet to her in the middle of the hearing - it was an attempt to make her cry as she reportedly had done in the closed session hearing.

 

And all three of the witnesses have provided no evidence of this.

On the other hand Joe Biden admits and brags about bribing Ukraine at the Council of Foreign Affairs.

 

Punching back is childish for a man in his position. It shows a lack of emotional maturity, not to mention a penchant for pure meanness. It's petty, and beneath the office of president.

 

There is no need for oppo research. The tape of Biden bragging is damaging enough. That would be used over and over again if Biden is the D candidate.

Yes, the hearing should have been very quickly over. Instead the D's spent the next few hours asking about how she felt and trying to make her cry. That's very sexist and demeaning for a career diplomat.

Additionally a trial in the Senate will force those Democratic Senators running for President to attend the trial and not be out campaigning.

 

All three corroborate other testimony, some of which comes from people who heard Trump pressure Zelenskiy.

 

Why did the D's continually ask about how she and her family felt. The D's are the sexists here.

Why would a career diplomat with a steel spine be intimidated by a tweet ?? Again the D's are the sexists and misogynists.

Yay for those noble foreign service professionals which destabalized and overthrew the duly elected government of Ukraine and installed puppets so as to enable corrupt politicians like Biden to siphon off the wealth of Ukraine despite the dangerous provocation of Russia.

No they didn't. They were directly asked about criminal behavior and none could identify anything. All they stated is that they were uncomfortable by the second, third, and fouth hand hearsay. The inquiry is a farce only intended to smear Trump to the general public. What weakens our nation is using the impeachment process as a political tool. All that is needed to impeach according to the new Democratic Party standards is a majority in the House. The R's could have impeached Obama for stating that there are 57 states.
