you DAMN sure couldn't when I was 16...

You might lose control or something. Or, maybe nothing may EVER come from that, but one of your female students will have a crush on you and later go home and beat off to your mental picture. We can't have that.[/quote]

they also don't let me in the girls changing room either for that very reason. Or any other male coach. But an openly lesbian coach better be allowed in tehre for lockerroom duty or else the political correct police will sue the school for discrimination.

    seperation /=segregation

How did we go from a boycott of a comic book writer to locker rooms?

No disagreement there. But this was a thread started by a Conservative, complaining about gay's boycotting someone, and my response was to challenge them by pointing out the myriad boycotts by Christians and Conservatives over gay rights and other political issues.

None of the ones who were so offended by gay's boycotting responded to my challenge.

You did- and I think you argued for consistancy- which is really what I do. I think everyone has the right to boycott anyone, though I think it is largely a waste of time.

While I thought the Southern Baptists boycott of Disney was stupid- I didn't call them fascists for doing it. Frankly I think the attempt to boycott Card is stupid also- for different reasons.

    Good point.

And with that in mind, I can tell anyone that I'm intuitively averse to handing DC anymore money at this point.

I want to see their movies... but when you're gay, you pay attention to things that can hurt you socially and politically. Putting more and more money into the pockets of someone who is truly anti-gay or homophobic, is often like volunteering to be beaten.

There is NOTHING wrong with pushing back against homophobia and hatred.

Perhaps a boycott may be unnecessary and/or ineffective... but I DO understand why the situation is something many homosexual people would sense an aversion to.

well it seems while we may disagree with political positions, at least you're consistent, which is what I want to be. Hate my politics all you want, but I try my best never to be hypocritical.

Same here- and feel free to call me on it if I seem to be hypocritical. I will admit(though I can't think of them at the moment) that there a few issues that I haven't quite resolved my own inconsistancy- but I consciously try to confront such inconsistancy and resolve them.

Who cares if a bunch of homo's boycott the comic, there aren't enough of them to matter.

Where are you drawing this morality from? As near as I can tell, you feel that you are free to harass people who don't believe like you, and that you also feel free to impose your own personal morality on anyone else.

Disagreeing with your existence, or your practices? It sounds to me like you are justifying bullying, threats, and of course harassment. Can't you just learn to live and let live?

Common sense. Humans are entitled to respect and love. All of them. White, black, strait, gay, half way in between, doesn't matter. People who are prejudiced against their fellow man because of some meaningless characteristic are perpetrating evil.

Depends on what that belief is. Someone who believes it's acceptable to hate a fellow human being for a stupid reason is going to get no respect from me. Soon enough, those people will be extinct. Until then, they deserve nothing but scorn.

This isn't some meaningless characteristic https://www.google.com/search?q=gay...g&biw=1146&bih=859&sei=X1IoUbrYMoyK9QTX7YHwBA it's hedonistic and shouldn't be allowed out in public.

Say something like that about me again (with no proof or explanation), and I will report you (again).

This forum isn't "Fox News", where some can just spew any comment they please.

I don't know. Still, I'm sure that many DO care to counter homophobia and bigotry... the kinds of things reflected in your choice of words and commentary above.

    BTW, I have a question:

Do you really think that ONLY homosexual people care about the rights and well-being of homosexuals? (If so, then think again.)

Oh we have, trust me. And I'm sorry but, how exactly are you being bullied, threatened or harassed? We have never once told straight people that they should turn gay, killed them simply because they're straight, tried to make them gay through junk science therapy, told them they are sick for being heterosexual, told them to use other locker rooms, etc. And yet, certain heterosexuals have done this to us.

But you claim that we are harassing you. Please illustrate this harassment.
