No. A majority of the old people have spoken. And they'll be dead soon. A direct quote from your own (4 year old) article:

"Turnout is also a factor. Older voters tend to vote in higher numbers, and there’s a stark age divide on gay marriage.

As Columbia Political Science professor Jeffrey Lax wrote in 2009: “If policy were set by state-by-state majorities of those 65 or older, none would allow same-sex marriage. If policy were set by those under 30, only 12 states would not allow-same-sex marriage.”

Ever been to Mardi Gras? I have seen way worse there than at any gay pride event I have attended.

So, you get all heteros to stop their hedonistic displays, and when you succeed I'll work on the homosexuals.

That's what militant gays do to anyone (other than Obama) who doesn't agree with their lifestyle.

Like the nutter who harassed the woman at the Chik Fil A drive through just because he doesn't agree with the franchise owner's view of gay marriage.

Gays are becoming the new KKK - and people who believe in traditional marriage are becoming the new blacks.

Good lord- Pride pales in comparison. That's downright frightening.

I don't think "common sense" demands that you get respect and love. Those are usually earned, not based on pouting, stamping your foot, and demanding them as a right.

So you feel free to harass who ever you like, if they disagree with you, based on your morality, which is derived from "common sense." On the one hand you demand that all humans entitled to respect, then you reserve the right to not respect someone.

Your "common sense" morality seems to be that you can hate and harass whoever you want, but no one else is free to do the same. That really sounds like a mish mash of contradiction.

I didn't claim that I was being harassed:

If you have to lie about what I said to try to make your point you're better off just dropping out of the conversation.

Once upon a time gays wanted toleration. Now they demand approval. That's not going to work in a society that has many different types of people with many different types of values. I can tolerate people who have different beliefs, practices, and values without demanding they change those to satisfy my beliefs. Why can't you do the same?

When someone has proved to be a hateful person, they lose the right to respect.

To which they are entitled. All humans are equal, even the ones you think are icky.

You're claiming we are harassing people. We're not. We're standing up to people who are harassing US. That's called self-defense. A concept that seems foreign to you. Card attacked us, and we're fighting back. What do you expect us to do- sit back and take it? Not gonna happen.

Bring it, man. We've got plenty of people on our side. Good people. You wanna fight with these guys? I'm sure they'll be more than happy. Especially Tommy, who I know personally.

    http://youcanplayproject.org/videos/entry/you-can-play-tommy-wingels
    http://youcanplayproject.org/videos/entry/you-can-play-all-stars-stamkos-and-campbell
    http://youcanplayproject.org/videos/entry/you-can-play-dustin-brown-alec-martinez

And no one is forcing you to accept anything. You want to be a first class jerk and hate us- you're more than welcome. What you're not free to do is harm us in any way. We have the same rights as you. BTW-It's already on the streets. I can hold hands with my BF in public here in Chicago. My hockey teams I play with support me, as well as the NHL. My family and friends, gay or straight, love me. You wanna fight with them too? Bring it.

Over half the population now supports equal rights for us. Good luck.

Or maybe you'd like to fight these guys:

    Take your pick.

BTW- you made a threat here. I believe that is against the rules. Just sayin'.

    Again liar.
47 states have outlawed gay marriage by vote of the majority.

The majority has changed it's opinion. And they're not going back. 100 years from now, those who stand in opposition to homosexual rights will be viewed by society as savages.

Excuse me? The liar is you. 47 states have most certainly not outlawed gay marriage. It's legal in 9 states plus DC and soon Illinois will be the tenth state. Now, there are 50 states in the union last time I checked. Your math is WAY off. And again- see the post above.

And you don't get to tell me what to door say. This is the USA, not Russia. This is the land of the free. You don;t like it? Well, too damn bad.

So when you said that all humans are entitled to respect, you were not telling the truth.

I never said anything about anyone being icky. Are you confusing me with someone else? But your idea that all human beings are entitled to approval, not mere toleration, is absurd, even by your own standards. Should you actively approve of people who hate homosexuals? Apparently yes so start approving.

I'm not claiming "we." I'm talking about you specifically. You said...

As far as I can tell, Card's Superman job has nothing to do with gays or your agenda. So no, this isn't self defense, it's just harassment.

I think you are probably right in 50 years time. But in a 100 years time people who support same sex marriage will probably be viewed as infidels.

The default, baseline is an entitlement to respect. Being hateful is one (of quite a few) ways to lose that.

There are no logical reasons to oppose same sex marriage. The only real reason anyone does is either because of religious belief, which is deeply and sadly misguided, or because people simply think homosexuality is icky and needs to be subject to ridicule, scorn, and disapproval.

Desiring unequal treatment for homosexuals is the moral equivalent of desiring unequal treatment of non-whites. Fortunately, outright racism is now seen, by most of society anyway, for the evil that it is. Soon enough, it will be the same for those who wish to marginalize homosexuals.

And we and people who support us have the right to refuse to support him by not buying his work. Why in the hell would we buy anything that guy does after what he has done and keeps doing?
