Overzealous Texas cop runs wild at pool party

I could care less, what is funny about a police trying to contain what was becoming a riot and order suspects to sit down and remain sitting and when those suspects try to flee the officers falls in pursuit? He could have been hurt would you still be laughing if he had cracked an ankle or his head?

 

This is Texas.. Everyone has guns (even kids in bathing suits). I should know because even though I live in Chicago where guns are hard to get for law abiding people, every weekend some stupid kid is shooting some other stupid kid. Cops are not doing their job if they don't establish control.

What the hell is racist about telling someone to go back to their section 8 housing?

 

It was a police officer trying to detain a person who was not obeying his orders when several other rowdy people charged at him from behind and they were NOT in bathing suits. Why do you leave out those salient facts?

 

the cop was on the ground in an vulnerable position he had people approaching from the back not knowing what their intentions were their intentions could be to get physical with the cop and the cop had every right to have felt threatened and the need to defuse that threat

 

Pulling the gun probably wasn't necessary, but at least he holstered right away. Just take away the batons and pepper spray if you're not going to use them.

 

lighten up - no one got hurt so it's ok to find humor in a tense situation. If you honestly think that one cop wasn't being overly into it, you're being cynical.

 

My first impression as well. I do not want that guy protecting or serving me.

 

Not necessarily racist. One does wonder why he felt they lived in section 8 housing though. It's pretty much at least making fun of poor people though. Which suggests the officer is not a nice person.

So, telling a black kid (who isn't in section , to go back there, simply because he is black.....

is kinda racist.

 

They weren't "charging him" ... simply trying to protect the girl he was manhandling like an ass.

 

did you see him fall while running to get there, before this even started, this is why they need to remain calm, otherwise people could get hurt, including themselves

this is probably a guy that gets angry and loses his temper when he does something embarrassing like falls, then takes it out on everyone around him, he is not cop material imo

what really gets me is the people that see this and defend it as if this is what a good cop looks like

he told them repeatedly to leave or sit on the ground and they did neither but argue and be disreptful. the cops had other pressing maters to attend to like finding out about the fight dispersing a crowd after violence had broken out. they don't have time to have an argument with disrespectful brats that refuse to do what a cop tells them to do

 

Nonsense.. first of all they weren't trespassing and secondly did NOT start the fight that led to the police being called.

Truth is, there would actually be people defending the officer in this thread regardless of what he did. Had he shot and killed a couple of them, it would be defended by some. Trying to get these people to even admit he was overzealous is virtually impossible.

 

I want my cops to be this aggressive towards unruly youths that trespass and don't respect other people.


If they are not aggressive, it devolves into Baltimore... Baltimore is experiencing a "softer side" of police action. Notice how many people have died since the police decided to be "softer" on crime??? (#blacklivesdon'tmatter)



Take down the teens and take then down hard. I approve what this cop did. Nobody got hurt... (except for being "butt hurt" like the girl who was making a tense situation even tenser). I can't wait until footage of the section 8 people jumping over fences and fighting people become public.

Im not asking what you wouldn't have done Im asking you what you would have done when some one repeatedly refuse to do what you had ordered them to do over and over again. Ignore them let them continue to interfere with their work of dispersing a crowd were violence had broken out interfering with an investigation?

 

I don't know how anyone could watch (especially the one cop) that video and not come to the same conclusion.

 

No. They were invited to the pool party. Some white girl told them to 'go back to their section 8 housing' and got slapped for it. A ruckus ensued and the police were called. Who then barrel rolled their way to viral stardom.

 

Wrong.. No need for the police to shoot people. Texans will shot people themselves (and they have). Thank god the police was there before someone got really upset. Remember you can shot people for trespassing.

Multiple calls to the police about people fighting, trespassing, etc. The pool administration says the pool was over crowded and people where jumping the fence to get in. Once the administration tells people to leave, that mean you are no longer invited. Luckily, no stupid teenagers got shot.



Situation could of escalated downhill very fast if the cops did not control the situation quickly... This is not some stupid blue city where 4 women can browbeat a whole neighborhood. Repeat after me. Teenagers can be shot for trespassing.. Everyone and their dog has a gun in Texas...

 

arresting kids repeatedly for dumb things when young creates criminals when older imo

exposing children to events like this by bad cops when young cause disrespect for good cops
