If you find out and tell us
Wouldn't you have to kill yourself?

I'm not really sad. I'm giddy.

I'm not even upset that the alien bodies are in the fridge for science instead of buried. That lack of being laid to rest in peace doesn't bother me.

No seriously, I'm not upset. I value science perhaps more than it's healthy. I'm not upset.

What novel made you cry while reading it? Two turned me into a mess, Prince of Tides and From Here to Eternity. Although East of Eden got me as well. Guess I have a hard time reading about dysfunctional families.

War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy.

I had a real connection and understanding of when Andrey...one of Tolstoy's characters in the novel....became involved with Speransky's Circle of Reformers but when he falls in love with Natasha his involvement with Speransky's Circle just doesn't seem important anymore.

Now I read this novel many years ago and then something happened in my life that reminded me of this part of the novel and when I read it again I cried like a Baby.

And you talking with a guy who is well known for using a dirty rag and duct tape to stop a gushing wound from causing him to bleed out all the while firing back and killing the enemy....and never once shedding a single tear.

    I guess I am a romantic.

I CANNOT believe I just said that.

Remember when War and Peace was considered the greatest novel ever written? I read it while backpacking around Europe and Africa, lots of time on trains and beaches to read. I was in a used bookstore in Sullivan, MO, place was filled with tons of great books, and found this bio of Tolstoy, first edition, written in the 1920s. I forgot who wrote it but this puppy is about 500 pages long, maybe more. It got kind of dry at the end but his life up until the late 1800s was amazing.

Yeah....and I am obsequious, purple and clairvoyant.....and will probably live in a swamp and be inter-dimensional.

Some prefer just 3.....but I go for the gusto.

with a streak of red around the chest.......

I can be somewhat obsequious....... if the circumstances call for it.......

Well, I'm sorry to hear that--sorry for the belated response. She looks to be an attractive woman, and I think you've done pretty well for yourself.

    My point still stands, however.
