I don't like illegal immigration... But I don't resent illegal aliens.

Honestly, were I in the position of many illegal aliens who daily flood our borders and disregard our laws with impunity, I'd do exactly what they're doing to better my circumstances. When our government rolls out the red carpet for them, gives them driver licenses, free college, and now... they are not only EXEPMPT from the Obamacare penalty (unlike us citizens who pay all the bills), they can even get Medi-Cal. So they'd be STUPID to stay in their third-world (*)(*)(*)(*)holes...

And now we've gone from "illegal alien" to "undocumented immigrant" to "not lawfully present individual." What's next? "Differently-lawfully-situated?" "Cuddly fuzz bear?"

But I do not resent them for coming here. This is human nature.

I do, however, resent the politicians who have created this condition for their own political ends and have effectively sold our nation's borders to their special interests. These would be the same politicians, consequently, who have manufactured this phrase "not lawfully present individual."

Why are we not sharpening our pitchforks and lighting our torches? Oh that's right, we get the government we deserve...

 

I will add, all illegals currently residing in the U.S. should be invited to leave immediately. Those who refuse to comply with our polite invitation should be criminally processed and deported at the earliest opportunity and be placed on a list that would deny entry to the U.S. ever again for any purpose. Once we have cleared out these criminals who have shown contempt for our laws, we then need to completely overhaul our immigration system to make it far easier for foreign nationals to become citizens of this great country of ours which was built on immigration.

Individuals act in their own best interest and act upon incentives and opportunities. I do resent unwillingly paying someone else's way. But you're right. It's the politicians' fault. We never wanted this.

Obama is living proof that immigrants who come to this country legally and abide by our laws are given the same opportunity as natural born citizens.

Say you could wave a magic wand and poof, all of them would be gone in an instant. Our entire food industry would collapse. I really don't care if they are here legally or illegally, we need them. Do we need 11 million or 5 million? 20 million or more? That is the only essential question and we should direct our conversations to population numbers and demand for low skilled labor. But with the exception of the Sierra Club, no one brings it up.

 

How did we survive before Mexicans? We have 12 - 20 million illegal Mexicans and 90 million folks out of the labor force, you don't have to be a math major for this one.

that is the dumbest idea ever presented. We don't need a wall to stem he flow of criminal aliens... We simply need to enforce the law as written.

 

Pardon me but one of our presidential candidates says he's going to build a wall. And the other one just screams what difference does it make now.

 

Free college, free health care, exemption from penalties citizens are subject to, getting to break the law with impunity... We are TOO compassionate where illegal immigration is concerned.
