I admire their work ethic, their devotion to family, their tenacity.
    They never, ever cry victim.
Your turn, how do you feel about whites?

Illegal Mexicans in construction and landscaping are paid more than minimum wage.
Minimum wage legislation is not in play for cash pay under the table employees.

Look around you. Everything you see or touch was created by Whites.

Have you ever been to Mexico? I've been to every state except Yucatan. I was in Chiapas about this time last year. To understand Mexicans you have to understand Mexico. Mexico is a model of corruption. It is a part of their culture.

So you are all for expanding the underclass as you call them?

They are here because we need them. But no one has called for increased illegal immigration. Immigration currently is a net zero since 2008

How do you know how many there are? I always hear people estimating how many folks are here illegally.

Prove it. Also, I grow my own lettuce.

This lettuce argument doesn't account for all costs associated with illegal immigration.

All I'm saying is that this issue absolutely needs to be addressed by our legislators. Let the chips fall where they may.

The same legislators who have rolled out the red carpet to the illegals? Free college, free health care, free food, driver licenses... Yeah, that's really keep them away. :eyepopping:

It's not simple. The market wouldn't support lettuce at that price. A better way would be devised.

No doubt about it. Compassion is both relative and subjective.

There is no evidence of that in the history of our country

I have never been out of the contiguous US.
My posts about Mexicans are based on my observations of them here in Georgia. My brother is a builder and my county has a significant Hispanic population. They don't negatively impact my life.

We'll address it when and if we want to. Talk is cheap.

If lettuce was $20/head people would stop buying it. The vast majority anyhow. It truly is that simple. When movies started getting too expensive people stopped going until they adapted and changed the experience. Lettuce is lettuce. If it disappeared tomorrow, life would go on. The country, mostly Vegetarians, would have to adapt or figure out a way to make it cheaper or do without. Or lettuce would become a delicacy. That's how economics work.

I think we are better than that. I think we value the rule of law. I suppose you disagree.

People keep presenting that false red herring as a reason to let the illegals stay in the country.

They do not have to be rounded up. Just end all the free benefits given to illegal aliens, cut off all federal funding to "sanctuary cities", and start inspecting employers and fining the ones caught with illegals. The vast majority of illegals will leave on their own and the flow into the country will stop. It wont deport every single illegal, but it solves the problems.
