What are you attempting to do, gauge how many are welfare oriented or not? Welfare leads directly to complete governmental control which results in loss of "community" control. Look at areas that have a large number of welfare recipients, be it SDI, out welfare or any other type of governmental subsistence. When government "helps" it actually harms so that the eventual outcome will be complete governmental control.
Question: why is it that there has been a larger and larger influx of migrants and immigrants coming from nations that have complete control? It has nothing to do with "seeking to help the less fortunate" and more to do with demographic paradigm shift. This, those who are observant, should have picked up on over the past 70 or more decades (from circa 1947 to 2017).

    Does this mean no foodee?

We talk tough on the internet, but can we really say that we're fine with people or more precisely kids starving to death? It would incentivize some, but I think there would be some that use it as an excuse and others that would feed themselves before their kids.

    Yup.
If the law requires you to work for the money the state gives you, and you choose not to, the state does not give you the money.
    Cut. Dried.

If you choose to not receive the money the state offers you, whose fault is it that you starve?

    Not a right.
Gratitude for assistance, and hard work to be free of the need for future assistance is the only proper response for recipients

The vast majority of "lazy" people are disabled. I have Moderate Autism and Moderate Depression.

Thank you. Able people should be required to do some work -- but many "able" people have mental disability.

Thank you for sharing -- you have outstanding willpower. I have disability. The main reason I can not find a job is learned helplessness -- after failing to find a job many times I almost stopped trying.

Are you including Veterans benefits with your comments on welfare? They comprise almost 30% of our welfare benefits, and I believe they are deserving. Are you including the mentally ill with the disabled? What financial criteria would you use for the disabled (and mentally ill?) to qualify for food stamps? Currently, a single person qualifies with an income of between $21-23K, depending on the state, far more than the minimum wage, which is about $14K. Thus there is currently an income gap in the largest source of welfare in the US.

Perfect, you can shovel the drives and cut the lawns of people who have to work to pay the taxes, to give you assistance. Works out well for everyone!

That sounds a whole lot like subsidies for people that bought houses instead of renting an apartment or live in a townhouse. It should be work for publicly owned land, not just for some classes of tax payers.

I think working on the roads or cutting the grass of publicly owned buildings is better to cut down on cost of having to hire people to do the work.

The right to "welfare" is just a round-about way of saying the government has the power to take from some people and give to other people as the govt sees fit - the govt owns everything.

Veterans benefiets are more of a retirement package than welfare IMO, it's one of the perks to that type of employment..
I agree they are deserving and believe they deserve more than they currently get as far as quality..

Yes the mentaly ill are included, but they don't need anywhere the millions spent on them including full expences paid vacations that they currently get..

Well, if a person could not survive working those types of jobs then they would refuse to take those kinds of jobs.. And then those companies would have NO employees until they offered a good enough wage for people to consider working those jobs..
Companies paying low enough for the government to pick up half the cost are raping our taxes just like anyone else..

But disabled people do have a right to life. My parents support me, but tens of millions disabled people in USA are without support.
