WHAT!!!? Are you ****ing serious? There is no logical reason for anyone to be this ungodly ignorant. There is literally nothing you just said that even closely resembled a rational thought. 1. Who has confirmed 2 dead civilians? Why were 2 "civilians" out in the middle of nowhere in an Isis stronghold? Use your freaking brain. 2. We have been fighting the Taliban for 16 years now. Long before we started fighting Isis. So saying "US started bombing both groups" is just plain (insert offense here) 3. We have been bombing Isis for several years as well. It's not like we were just sitting there on the sidelines watching these 2 groups fight eachother. We've been fighting both of them. 4. Isis and Taliban truce. Again. You clearly have no damn clue what you are talking about. You should just not come back dude. This was embarrassing.
CNN was irate this week, saying Trump could have stopped the MOAB and he did absolutely nothing. It makes you wonder what side they're on.
The MOAB isn't a bunker buster, it wasn't designed for that. It will collapse tunnels that are near the surface - if the tunnels aren't in rock nor reinforced structurally. The MOAB was designed for use against soft targets - people, soft-skinned vehicles & lightly built structures.
Just the concussive blast from that baby is enough. Another message to the bad guys, no more Mr. Nice Guy.
Agreed. Gotta wonder why a Bunker Buster was not used. And maybe why MOAB hasn't been modified as the Mother Of All Bunker Busters? Al Jazeera reports 90 dead. Moi r > g
I believe the MOAB is a "thermobaric weapon". Not only would the massive blast collapse un-reinforced sections of tunnels, but it would suck all the oxygen out of the air while doing it. The last report is over 100 ISIS bit the dust.
No. But it's concussive blast turns everything to jelly, explodes ammo dumps and the conflagration sucks all the oxygen out of the tunnels. I'm sure we will try out a perpetrator when the commanders on the ground think it is the right tool for the job. India Claims 500 Pakistanis (Protecting ISIS) Killed In "Treasonous" US Bombing In Afghanistan While US officials have upped their death count from the Afghan MOAB drop to 94, Indian authorities are claiming that at least 500 Pakistani nationals (who had been protecting the ISIS operatives in this area) were killed in the US bombing in Nangarhar province. The operation that was jointly coordinated by the 201 Selab Corps of the Afghanistan army targeted the caves and tunnels that were used as hiding places by the IS. It is now clear that the Pakistan army was backing these IS operatives in Afghanistan, official sources also confirmed. Indian agencies who are coordinating withe counterparts in Afghanistan have learnt that there are no civilians living in the area. There were a large number of stooges of the Inter-Services intelligence who have been protecting the IS operatives in this area. The US action comes at a time when there was a huge build-up of IS forces in Afghanistan. Indian agencies say that the Pakistan army and the ISI were nurturing these operatives. The entire area that was bombed was under the control of the ISI officials backing the IS, sources also said. The impact of the bomb was so huge that it blew up at least 500 Pakistanis and an equal number of IS operatives. That's a TRUMP sized Thumpin'!
Do Trumpettes suddenly believe what's in the news now? Oh that's right, only when it's unverifiable, then they eat it up. Only an idiot would think launching missiles into Syria and dropping a giant bomb in Afghanistan is going to put an end to that kind of violence. If anything it's going to motivate more acts of terror directed at the biggest bully on the planet.
Yawn, They've been brainwashed since childhood to hate America and that Jihad is the only path to honor. I say we turn a few major cities into jelly craters simply for the brainwashing they've been doing.
Who said they didn't hate us already? I didn't say that. Oh that's right, you're that poster who responds to everyone with ignorance and bullcrap. Run along now and let the grown-ups talk.
For the love of God read a history book. When has persecuting a religious group ever accomplished anything?
I enjoy your use of 90's internet slogans in your retorts. Yes, I mean it's time to fight them. Everyone knew this was coming from the time Obama pulled the troops out of Iraq before he put them back in again.
When they're persecuting you? ALOT. When they're persecuting women? ALOT. When they're persecuting gays? We've never really been in this situation before, homosexuality was never really alright. When they're telling 4-6 year old children to write Jihad Poetry? A lot. You're simply what's called an, " invertebrate ". As in you don't have the spine to do what's needed against an ideology of mind control and torture. Have you ever read any of the authentic Hadiths? I sincerely doubt it, since your so vehemently against bombing a people that says ****ing children is ok. Or that killing yourself for god is the main path to honor. Or that Islam will dominate the other religions.(and the world) You should open a book, because you don't understand the ideology on which you speak.
My quote comes from a quote of 1.6 kilometers in kill radius of the MOAB which converts to 0.996 miles.
Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and other Islamic countries are used by the military as a testing ground for weapons. Every dead victim is labeled a terrorist because the dead cannot deny the allegation. That has been military propaganda to deflect claims of death of innocent civilians.
I've never said that the VA Hospitals are bad. Much of the work they do is outstanding. They are overworked and in many cases mismanaged. You need the right people to manage each of the hospitals and the wear with all to treat all the veteran's, not warehouse them or putting them on waiting lists and never called.
Yah, the blast kills, mostly by collapsing lungs, TMK. If the tunnels near the surface weren't collapsed by the blast, yah, the oxygen in the tunnels might be sucked up. But the blast collapse is the reason this weapon was chosen - to flatten everything on the surface, including people & any animals, structures, unarmored vehicles - & to collapse any vulnerable tunnels. Once the tunnels collapse, there isn't going to be much movement of air (oxygen) out of the remaining tunnels. India & Pakistan have been @ odds officially since 1947 CE, @ Partition. There's no reason to credit anything one has to say about the other - except to note that they've fought three wars, I think it is. & Pakistan has lost all three. If Paki ISI is still trying to play both ends against the middle - trying to curry favor with their rebel factions inside Afghanistan, for instance - then their entire network inside & outside Afghanistan richly deserves to be incinerated. We've (the US & allied forces inside Afghanistan) captured hordes of low-level ISI liaison officers serving with Taliban &/or Al Qaeda before, when we (the US - mostly Spec Forces & Delta, etc.) first went into Afghanistan. Instead of sweating all of them & executing all the junior officers - as a show of resolve, say - we allowed most of them to slink back across the border to Pakistan. Our allies among the Masood faction (I think it was) were much more bloodthirsty - most of their ISI prisoners suffered unfortunate demises, or were shot while trying to escape (Masood - their leader - had been executed by a suicide squad on 09/10/2001 @ their HQ in the Panjir [?] Valley, up north in Afghanistan). Isn't that always the way of things?
Yep, just what I thought, you have no clue: The war between ISIS and Taliban http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-35123748 http://thediplomat.com/2016/01/revealed-why-isis-hates-the-taliban/ http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/608187/Islamic-State-ISIS-war-Taliban-Afghanistan And now the truce: https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/taliban-isis-agree-stop-islamist-infighting-afghanistan/ https://southfront.org/afghan-is-taliban-concluded-alliance-to-confront-us-backed-afghan-army/ https://www.rt.com/news/355087-taliban-isis-afghanistan-truce/
I just hope there were more than a few jihadists there, and that the Americans hadn't been given duff info by the locals. That wouldn't surprise me either!
You need to use the Herkey in areas where the ground to air defenses have been surprised or did not exist. You also can use countermeasures. Ok I took you the wrong way! I know you are a fellow Vet so we have the same objective. You are correct that we need better management. Y RT hear me out on this! When I started volunteering they asked me and then a few others were added to work on getting a No Show problem under control. No Show is when a Vet makes an appointment but fails to show. Some departments had up to a 22.5 % No Show rates. You see what happens is that for each No Show a Vet who wants and needs an appointment has to wait. Coming from the private insurance industry I understood that they needed aggressive action. We doubled down and started calling each Vet the day before and that one bad Department we reduced the No Show rate to 8.5%. Still could be better. Sometimes us Vets are our worst enemy. I still make a lot of calls and every time I get that Vet who knows that he cannot make it but when I identify myself say" oh I meant to call you I can't make it". So I we did not call he would not have been in and another Vet who needed an appointment. So sometimes us Vets are hurting our brothers. There are still things that piss me off such as when I cut a box open to assemble a Rolator or a Walker and the dammed box says Made In @&$~>££^%< ing Mexico. That needs to Stop!
