    They have reasonable concerns hidden under their total misunderstanding of the subject.

    Most Democrats don't understand the subject any better.

    But hey, maybe the "They're eating babies!" strategy will work for the Dems. I guess we'll see.

    The Republican stance while equally misinformed is the far more dangerous of the two. Democrats, while uninformed, don't advocate making health care a commodity for rich people.

    MSNBC’s Joy Reid, Ilyse Hogue of the abortion advocacy organization NARAL, and blue checkmark Twitter in general showed Tuesday that they have no problem not only personally targeting someone with brain cancer who has just been through a major surgery but also using his illness as a talking point against him.

    Hogue tweeted Tuesday that maybe McCain’s “recent life experience will give him empathy to do right thing,” as he bravely returned to the Senate floor visibly scarred from his recent surgery with a brain cancer diagnosis to vote yes on the debate on the GOP health care bill.

    Many, many others cruelly targeted McCain over his vote in light of his severe diagnosis because they disagreed with his position on the healthcare bill......snip~

    If the Democrats want to fix healthcare they have to solve the serious concerns that Republicans do have. It doesn't matter which you think is more dangerous, it matters that you can bring them into contact.

    It was the Republicans that hamstrung any real effort to fix healthcare under Obama, that's true. Well, there are serious Senators and Representatives that the Democrats can work with, and McCain is one of them.

    Not really, not entirely. The election of Trump and the acquisition of both Houses by the Republicans has given the Democrats a fantastic opportunity to play the plucky opposition freedom fighters, and they're taking advantage of it.

    The Republicans would probably do the same thing. But eventually one of these parties needs to act like governing is more important than politicking.
