    True ... up to a point.I like really good stereo.Therfore I'm an
Audiophile hog.My Computer speakers are among the best ever
    offered.But they are 20 years old { Altec Lansing w/30 watt sub }
However I have 2 stereos now.I moved my old stereo and upgraded
many components. It cost me around $ 12 plus grand.
    2 new turntables and 2 { make that 3 cartridges }.Plus a new
AMP and 2 new CD players.Good quality Interconnects and
2 pair of bookshelf speakers.I retired one set of bookshelf after
6 months use. They were really good but they couldn't drive the power.
My better stereo system has my old tower speakers which I fixed
one of the drivers and play as good as audiophile speakers costing
up to 5 times more.I am a former audiophile.I love good stereo.
Analog stereo.Just as good as money can buy 2-channel.
If I played and won the lotto I would but a new home and spend
upwards of a Million bucks on state-of-the-art Reference grade\
    components.
The worst part of my stereo loving past is the monumental
mistake in the 70's of Going Quad { or 4-channel Quadrophonic }.
Those systems were what we now refer to as Jap Crap.
    From places like Tokyo-Shapiro.
Today the Japanese have some of THE best speakers that
    have been Modified { Vintage JBL's and some Altec Lansing }
We're talkin really ass kicking and BiG speakers.
I have a new Yamaha Integrated amp that is quite powerful
and efficient.I took a chance and bought a new pair of bookshelf
speakers by a stereo shop owner in Tennessee. He makes them and
only sells thru his own site and store. He was a pleasure to
talk to and order from.I probably spent a good 20 minutes
talking stereos and equipment the morning I ordered them.
His Father held a couple speaker patents. They aren't cheap
at $ 1999.But they are as good as it gets for that price for high-end
    bookshelf.

I'm reminded of Judge Judy.Everytime a person answers in her
courtroom with " Um " ... The Judge quickly says ...
    " Um " is not a word.
Never to be confused with Smarty's Bar & Griil as
    Not political.
By affirming it's not Political is a version of being political.
Because that was Obama's favorite refrain." It's not politics. "

The reason being is simple.because LP's are Back.Back in the
biggest and best way possible. As a kid I bought with paper route
money a 30 watt Heathkit amp and speakers when a finished
grade school.I was 14.I managed to buy an early AR belt turntable
then my Dad offered me his Garrard when I went off to college.
    I also had a Tuner.But mostly played albums { LP's }.
I had a neighbor friend who also loved to spin vinyl
and had a very nice Zenith Stereo with neat cartridge.
There was a couple places in Cleveland that offered Lp's
and also those little listening rooms to try out an LP.
Lp's were a Dinosaur in the late 90's and throughout the 2000's.
Then they slowly came back with what now is the greatest re-invention
of New and better turntables on planet earth. There are virtually new
and better turntables in every price range. However LP's are still
costly. But there are still thrift shops and garage sales where you can
pick up great bargains on Vinyl.Plus learning how to clean Vinyl
is about as diverse as YouTube can get.It can be done effectively
w/o a shred of cost.Or one can buy a Vinyl cleaning device or machine.
The sound of LP's is more detailed than a CD and is meant for
    stereo or analog presentation.
But CD's are also great with the right gear.

it is like being a guest in someone's home, unfortunately there is no real home for freedom of speech.

public property belongs to the public owners, and private property belongs to the private owners.

poor peasants who don't pay taxes for public property or own their own private property must keep quiet politically, if they do not want to face the consequences.

Still enjoying my new hobby. May have to leave on a business trip tomorrow so happy my supplies of connectors, shackles, etc showed up today. I made the snake braid bracelet this afternoon with a compass/whistle/fire-starter buckle ($1.06) and 9 feet of paracord ($0.70). It took about an hour. Included in the picture below is some custom paracord my wife bought so I can make her something more in her "colors". :D

That is 18 inches of cord for $2, but I should be able to make her both a key lanyard and a survival bracelet from it.

FWIW, and I don't work for them....and usually don't buy from them, but Sportsman's Guide has a "free shipping" code until November 15th. SH2116

I not only bought 600' of paracord for less than $18, but bought more. It's bulk stuff, so the colors are pure frickin' luck. The first batch I got was about a third international orange then black, tan and a camo green. The picture on the ad shows all kinds of colors.
Not sure what color the next batches I ordered will be, but at 3 cents a foot, that's a lot of Christmas presents. [IMG]

The loose short cord on the left is what's left of an international orange bundle sent with the package.

maybe if a wear a nice religious medal like
    an Arch angel.How about Michael.
But then I'd have to keep an eye out for Lucifer.
I could make a few welding mistakes in the process.

To further prove my point about clothes.I went into the big city
yesterday and I had a few things I had to do,plus buy
my yearly flannel shirt and sweater. But at a high-end store.
I Immediately fell in love with a nice fall color flannel that
happened to be marked down.It was a Daniel Cremieux which I
knew form previous experience was pretty good stuff.
It was priced at $ 89.oo marked down to $ 53.oo.
That shirt is not worth it.It is so far inferior to the Ralph Lauren
Polo flannel I bought last year it's ridiculous.I think that Polo cost
$ 90.oo That Polo is easily twice as thick in cotton stitching.
I also buy el cheapo flannel shirts every year just on impulse.
Like St.John's Bay.They tend to last maybe 3-4 years at best.
You DO get what you pay for.
I like to wear worn shirts. After all I'm a Biker.

I had a dream about my dad last night,

My dad died a long time ago. I was 10. I only dreamt of him one time before and that was many, many years ago. That time I dreamt I was looking out our livingroom windows and there were men working hard paving the street. One looked up at me and it was my dad. Freaked me out. I knew he was dead.

Last night I dreamt my dad was leaning his back against our kitchen stove. He look so healthy and happy. I knew he was dead. I thought Daddys dead but looks happy. Must be because Mommys there now. He just kept smiling and looking at me then said, Come home. I woke up and that first little sister natural impulse was to call my sister and then two seconds later reality caught up with me and reminded me my sister is gone too.

So now this is what Im thinking. I refuse to be freaked out. Its just a dream. But just in case there is any coded cosmic communication here and dead family are calling me 'home', Im eating that capacola (gabagool) and provolone panini that Ive been seriously stopping myself from having because its not all that healthy. If they're calling me 'home', Im going with a gabagool, provolone panini in hand. lol

My mom use to request this song be played on the radio on an Italian radio program. It was for Daddy.
So Im going to play it for mom, daddy and my sister. No better place to play it than in this bar.
