Yeah, you see, it's something both sides recognize.

If you take it a step further, another truth emerges, and it is this ...

If you exclude the goofy extremists on either side of the spectrum, fundamentally, ordinary Americans want the same things. We don't agree on how to achieve those things, but fundamentally, ordinary citizens who identify as Republicans and Democrats want the same things.

We want peace, security, opportunity, prosperity, fairness, a chance to fulfill our dreams, and we want a good faith government that is of, by, and for the people.

I could write another 5 paragraphs showing how "Permanent Washington" - both R's and D's - have let us all down on each of those things, but I'll spare you.

I think Americans solve problems every day. I think they put their heads together and flesh out solutions to problems. I think ordinary citizens are pretty good at that. And so they know intrinsically that Washington is operating in bad faith, and they are right. And so, we end up with insurgencies like Trump and Bernie. They came from opposite sides of the spectrum, but they both had the support of people who know "Permanent Washington" is not working for them.

 

You'd think the most qualified candidate in history would've figured out it was a bad idea to middle-finger middle America

The corrupt moderate swamp rats in washington are doing that by ignoring the wishes of their republican base voters

Obamacare never failed, Republicans sabotaged it, sure there were things that needed changed\added\removed\fixed, no one ever claimed it was perfect, republicans have controlled Congress for almost 8 years and have done noting, if republicans do not like it, replace it with something they think is better or fix it
